USSA?!?!

(United Socialist States of America)

Well folks, we might just as well get used to it. As long as our country is being governed by a group of nine unelected and unaccountable federal judges where the majority consistently rules against the basic framework of our sacred US Constitution, we will continue to slide further and further into the crippling grip of socialist rule. Every time SCOTUS sneezes or takes a dump, they have the audacity of wiping themselves with the document they swore to protect and uphold. Considering the fact that seven out of nine of those over glorified Jurist Doctorates were Republican appointees, I have even more reason to be outraged. It's a very sad day in this country when our basic rights; the very foundations of our freedom are mercilessly picked away like scraps of meat from the bones of a rotting carcass by a bunch of legal vultures. Without regret, they suck the very life out of our nation with the intent of transferring all the power of the people into the hands of the almighty government.

They assaulted our freedom of speech by allowing McCain/Feingold to place limits on our political voice, they gave a legal pass to sexual perversion by striking down state sodomy laws, they slapped federal regulation on all local economic activity, they approved government seizure and transfer of private property beyond eminent domain and now they have become the final arbitrators as to where and when we can exercise our freedom of religion! If it wasn't for the powerful efforts of the NRA, they probably would have already ruled that our gun ownership was not really protected under the Second Amendment either. We are absolutely at the mercy of a judicial oligarchy and we are quite literally the frog in the pot of boiling water.

What makes matters worse is that the foreseeable future doesn't appear to be that much more promising. We keep hearing that there are possibly two Supreme Court Justices that 'might' be announcing their retirement, neither of whom are among the most liberal on the bench. Our biggest worry today is weather or not our President will be able to fill those prospective vacancies with equal or more conservative replacements and there are only three more years left to get them in there. What also needs to be pointed out here is that no liberal justice has any intention of giving up their seat while George Bush and a Republican Congress remain in power. If the country continues to vote the Liberals and Democrats out of power, we can pretty much expect those radical left leaning justices to buy the farm while still serving on the bench. After Rehnquist and O'Connor, the next most likely in line for retirement due to age would be Stevens and Ginsberg respectively (OMG, I can't wait for her to be gone!). God forbid a Liberal gets into the White House over the next decade. Needless to say, we could very well loose this country to the socialists all together and see Old Glory morph into a symbol more descriptive of our sadly lost freedom.

I'm not dead yet!

For close to a month now, I?ve been totally swamped with work and life in general. Nearly every night when I get home, I usually just pass right out. I barely get through reading my e-mail, catching the latest headlines and checking in on my favorite bloggers without falling fast asleep in my chair. In my line of work, when the construction season starts, it?s either feast or famine. Generally speaking, since new residential and commercial construction is at an all time high - thanx to President Bush?s awesome economic recovery plan ? the feeding trough is overflowing! That, coupled with helping raise four kids and my need to get at least some sleep at night has kept me from contributing to the blogosphere. Also, I?m considering my ISP. The bastards I use right now have been dumping my connection more than half the time I try to get online and dial-up just ain?t cuttin? it!

What, you thought that entertaining you with my right wing rant was priority #1? LMAO!!! Not a chance! Let?s see here:

1) God
2) Family
3) Job
4) ?Puter

Sorry folks, looks like you?re at the bottom of the food chain ;)
Cheer up though. Remember, Hillary ain?t back in the White House? yet!
