MOAR?!?!

I spoke about this in length, back a couple of years ago when the first round of leaked emails hit the streets. Since then, the green communist movement (new color of the old RED communist movement) has backed off much of the global warming hype, largely due to the climate scientist email scandal appropriately named "CLIMATE-GATE." Now we're dealing with just CLIMATE CHANGE, as opposed to the more radical term "GLOBAL WARMING," leaving out the nagging belief that global climate fluctuations are somehow man made, out of mainstream circulation so as not to seem overtly insane.

Well, folks, here we go; Prepare yourself for CLIMATE-GATE 2.0!!!

A new batch of emails have hit the street and they appear to crush any shred of doubt that global climate research has manipulated data intentionally for the purpose of socialist political gain...

Climategate 2.0: New E-Mails Rock The Global Warming Debate
By James Taylor
Published: 11/23/2011

A new batch of 5,000 emails among scientists central to the assertion that humans are causing a global warming crisis were anonymously released to the public yesterday, igniting a new firestorm of controversy nearly two years to the day after similar emails ignited the Climategate scandal.

Three themes are emerging from the newly released emails: (1) prominent scientists central to the global warming debate are taking measures to conceal rather than disseminate underlying data and discussions; (2) these scientists view global warming as a political “cause” rather than a balanced scientific inquiry and (3) many of these scientists frankly admit to each other that much of the science is weak and dependent on deliberate manipulation of facts and data.

New Frontiers

After 14 months of searching for a new employment, I finally got a job working in the lighting design industry. Despite being contractual work and a substantial reduction in salary, I am happy to have it. It's a small branch office for a large corporation only 13 miles from home, the people are nice, I get to do 3D modeling and rendering, and I'm already being seriously considered for permanent employment with a higher position. Unfortunately, the transition for me into a new tech field requires a substantial amount focus and research.

In case you haven't notice, there hasn't been a whole lot happening here lately or over at my Facebook account. I'm also finding it hard making time to keep up with the sites I used to frequent on a daily basis. I hope that in the near future, I will be able to find the time necessary to resume my usual internet activity including posting at MoFiZiXGr4FiX.com. Thanks for your understanding.

Walker releases figures on public versus private benefits
By Lee Bergquist of the Journal Sentinel
Dec. 10, 2010

Governor-elect Scott Walker kept up his claim that public employee benefits must be reined in by releasing figures comparing the benefits of public and private sector workers.

Public sector unions have taken issue with Walker's comments that he made this week in which he talked about weakening public employee unions and controlling benefits to help attack the state's deficit. Unions have also emphasized that while benefits might be greater, salaries are often lower.

Here is a portion of Walker's statement:

* The average employer contribution for private sector retirement plans is 5.3% of payroll. The employer portion of the contribution for the Wisconsin Retirement System (WRS) ranges between 10.55% and 13.3% of payroll (WPRI report: The Imbalance Between Public and Private Pensions in Wisconsin).

* The Milwaukee Public School system spends up to $26,846 per year to provide family health insurance coverage for teachers. The nationwide average for family health insurance coverage for all public and private employers is only $13,770 (Milwaukee Journal Sentinel Sept 12, 2010 article entitled: Public workers' generous benefits come at a price).

* Nationwide, all public and private employees pay an average of 29% of their annual health care premiums. Milwaukee Public School teachers pay only 8% on average. (Milwaukee Journal Sentinel Sept 12, 2010 article entitled: Public workers' generous benefits

*snip*

Ten percent of this country is STILL out of work, massive inflation on consumable goods is draining our family budget, health insurance premiums take the rest of our paychecks leaving most of us with left for ANY kind of retirement, and a bunch of spoiled whining union brats are throwing a temper tantrum over having to actually pay something toward their medical and pension plans. Then they bitch about their "collective bargaining rights" being taken away. No, not all, just some. If the government didn't make those changes, there would be no guarantees that John Q. Taxpayer wouldn't get screwed by these Marxists in the future. Even with these changes, I assure you, there are plenty of people out there right now that would be ECSTATIC to have that kind of compensation! If this wasn't so serious, I'd LMAO! Fer cryin' out loud, where do I sign up? SHEESH!

...oh, BTW, Manbearpig isn't real either.

Back in January, when the Northeast was getting pummeled with snow storms and bone-chilling arctic air on a weekly basis, the Baron of Bullshit came out and, in a vain attempt to salvage his Nobel prize wining reputation, proclaimed that global warming was the cause of all this crazy winter weather...

Al Gore Explains 'Snowmageddon'
By Gene J. Koprowski
Published February 03, 2011 | FoxNews.com

If the planet is warming, why is a third of America locked in a deep freeze, with record-low temperatures as far south as the Mexican border, where the thermometer in Ciudad Juarez plummeted Wednesday night to a bone-chilling 9-below zero?

Self-proclaimed planetary climate czar Al Gore thinks he has answer.

"As it turns out, the scientific community has been addressing this particular question for some time now, and they say increased heavy snowfalls are completely consistent with what they have been predicting as a consequence of man-made global warming," Gore write in a blog post. The Nobel Prize-winning former vice president was responding to a question posed by Fox News’ Bill O’Reilly, who wondered on air why global warming was such an urgent science policy priority when the New York City area had become a “tundra” this winter.

Gore also indicated that he believes a rise in global temperatures is creating “all sorts of havoc,” from hotter dry spells to colder winters and ever more violent storms. This is even endangering certain species of animals and leading to forest fires and floods.

*snip*

One week later, the Twentieth Century Reanalysis Project released their findings from a study they did using a supercomputer to analyze global weather data recorded over the past 140 years, essentially debunking most of what Al Gore now claims...

The Weather Isn't Getting Weirder
The latest research belies the idea that storms are getting more extreme.
By ANNE JOLIS
WSJ Opinion Journal
FEBRUARY 10, 2011

Last week a severe storm froze Dallas under a sheet of ice, just in time to disrupt the plans of the tens of thousands of (American) football fans descending on the city for the Super Bowl. On the other side of the globe, Cyclone Yasi slammed northeastern Australia, destroying homes and crops and displacing hundreds of thousands of people.

Some climate alarmists would have us believe that these storms are yet another baleful consequence of man-made CO2 emissions. In addition to the latest weather events, they also point to recent cyclones in Burma, last winter's fatal chills in Nepal and Bangladesh, December's blizzards in Britain, and every other drought, typhoon and unseasonable heat wave around the world.

But is it true? To answer that question, you need to understand whether recent weather trends are extreme by historical standards. The Twentieth Century Reanalysis Project is the latest attempt to find out, using super-computers to generate a dataset of global atmospheric circulation from 1871 to the present.

As it happens, the project's initial findings, published last month, show no evidence of an intensifying weather trend. "In the climate models, the extremes get more extreme as we move into a doubled CO2 world in 100 years," atmospheric scientist Gilbert Compo, one of the researchers on the project, tells me from his office at the University of Colorado, Boulder. "So we were surprised that none of the three major indices of climate variability that we used show a trend of increased circulation going back to 1871."

In other words, researchers have yet to find evidence of more-extreme weather patterns over the period, contrary to what the models predict. "There's no data-driven answer yet to the question of how human activity has affected extreme weather," adds Roger Pielke Jr., another University of Colorado climate researcher.

We do know that carbon dioxide and other gases trap and re-radiate heat. We also know that humans have emitted ever-more of these gases since the Industrial Revolution. What we don't know is exactly how sensitive the climate is to increases in these gases versus other possible factors—solar variability, oceanic currents, Pacific heating and cooling cycles, planets' gravitational and magnetic oscillations, and so on.

Given the unknowns, it's possible that even if we spend trillions of dollars, and forgo trillions more in future economic growth, to cut carbon emissions to pre-industrial levels, the climate will continue to change—as it always has.

Despite the environmental rhetoric of leftist politicians who are trying desperately to control the flow of the world's wealth by proclaiming the sky is falling, the proof is in the pudding. I find it analogous to the way that Obama says that the government must spend our tax dollars in order to get control of our debt. In other words, folks; it just ain't happenin'! They can talk it up, skew the numbers and try to fool the people all they want, but in the end, only truth will set us free.

Democracy supporters should not fear the Muslim Brotherhood
By Abdel Moneim Abou el-Fotouh
Wednesday, February 9, 2011

Like Egyptians from all walks of life, we in the Muslim Brotherhood are taking part in the popular uprising to depose a repressive dictator. The overwhelming majority of Egyptians demand the immediate ouster of Hosni Mubarak and his regime.

Once this basic demand is met, we seek to share in the debate sweeping the country and to be part of the resolution, which we hope will culminate in a democratic form of government. Egyptians want freedom from tyranny, a democratic process and an all-inclusive dialogue to determine our national goals and our future, free of foreign intervention.

We are mindful, however, as a nonviolent Islamic movement subjected to six decades of repression, that patent falsehoods, fear mongering and propaganda have been concocted against us in Mubarak's palaces the past 30 years and by some of his patrons in Washington. Lest partisan interests in the United States succeed in aborting Egypt's popular revolution, we are compelled to unequivocally deny any attempt to usurp the will of the people. Nor do we plan to surreptitiously dominate a post-Mubarak government. The Brotherhood has already decided not to field a candidate for president in any forthcoming elections. We want to set the record straight so that any Middle East policy decisions made in Washington are based on facts and not the shameful - and racist - agendas of Islamophobes.

*snip*

Calling your detractors a shameful bunch of racists in response to being outed by numerous accurate historical accounts and factual evidence? Hmmm, now where did I hear that strategy being used before???

But wait; there's more: We then have our very own Director of National Intelligence, Jake Clapper, tell the House Intelligence Committee that the Muslim brotherhood is a “very heterogeneous group, largely secular” who has "eschewed violence and has decried Al Qaeda as a perversion of Islam.” Oh really???

Is it just me or does anyone else sense a Neville Chamberlain level of arrogant naiveté in this administration???

SERIOUSLY, FOLKS... WTF?!?!

Obama issues global warming rules in January, gives GE an exemption in February
By: Timothy P. Carney 02/02/11 4:50 PM
Senior Political Columnist, The Examiner

Last month, the Obama EPA began enforcing new rules regulating the greenhouse gas emissions from any new or expanded power plants.

This week, the EPA issued its first exemption, Environment & Energy News reports:

The Obama administration will spare a stalled power plant project in California from the newest federal limits on greenhouse gases and conventional air pollution, U.S. EPA says in a new court filing that marks a policy shift in the face of industry groups and Republicans accusing the agency of holding up construction of large industrial facilities.

According to a declaration by air chief Gina McCarthy, officials reviewed EPA policies and decided it was appropriate to "grandfather" projects such as the Avenal Power Center, a proposed 600-megawatt power plant in the San Joaquin Valley, so they are exempted from rules such as new air quality standards for smog-forming nitrogen dioxide (NO2).

There's something interesting about the Avenal Power Center:

The proposed Avenal Energy project will be a combined-cycle generating plant consisting of two natural gas-fired General Electric 7FA Gas Turbines with Heat Recovery Steam Generators (HRSG) and one General Electric Steam Turbine.

Maybe GE CEO Jeff Immelt's closeness to President Obama, and his broad support for Obama's agenda, had nothing to do with this exemption. But we have no way of knowing that, and given the administration's record of regularly misleading Americans regarding lobbyists, frankly, I wouldn't trust the White House if they told me there was no connection.

*snip*

Ok, so while GE may or may not be directly benefiting from Obama administration policy *cough*cough*, here is something else for you to consider: The National Broadcast Corporation (NBC), who has been Mr. Obama's biggest and most vocal lap-dog in broadcast media, is owned and operated by General Electric. It goes without saying that Washington has always been a town where politicians direct policy, favorable to certain groups and businesses in return for political favors, but this is full tilt conflict of interest! What ever happened to the Presidential candidate, back in 2008, that promised no more secret backroom deals with special interests? Hmmm???

AGAIN, OBAMACARE DECLARED UNCONSTITUTIONAL!!!

...and this time, it's whole damned thing!!!

BREAKING: Federal judge rules Obamacare unconstitutional
By: Mark Hemingway
San Francisco Examiner
01/31/11 12:06 PM

The full text of the decision from Federal Judge Roger Vinson is not available yet, but according to reporters who've seen the decision, he's ruled the entire Patient Protection and Affordable Care Act unconstitutional. The ruling favors of the 26 state attorney generals challenging the law. The judge ruled the individual mandate that requires all Americans to purchase health insurance invalid and, according to the decision, "because the individual mandate is unconstitutional and not severable, the entire Act must be declared void."

This ruling is even more significant than last month's ruling against Obamacare in Federal Court in Richmond, Virgina. This time, half of the entire country was represented in this suit, and also, the whole law has been found unconstitutional!!! Ultimately, the Supreme Court will likely have the final word on this piece of crap legislation, but so far, chances of it being relegated to the dust bin of history are looking very good!!!

Why are we still dependant on foreign oil?

With oil futures prepared to exceed $100 per barrel because of political upheaval in Egypt, why is it that the Obama administration and his bureaucrat brown-shirts in the EPA are continuing to stand on the necks of domestic oil producers here in the United States? Sharp rises in cost at the gas pump in an economy already gripped with inflation is a recipe for disaster. Seriously folks, WTF are we doing, still depending on foreign sources of oil? Why are we continuing to line the pockets of nations who are not friendly to us in order to buy THEIR resources? None of this makes any sense. If shit REALLY hits the fan in Egypt and the Suez Canal oil shipments are disrupted, how long will it be before the United States uses military intervention to correct that problem? I thought the leftists in this country (now in control of the federal government) were dead-set against spilling blood for oil.

Like it or not, in order to secure our country's economic future and pay off our MASSIVE debt, we need to have abundant, inexpensive energy to increase our GDP. At present, oil and coal are our most abundant natural resource for producing energy. Alternative energy sources are not able to meet that demand, sufficiently. Since global warming is proving to be nothing but a crock of shit, there are only two other reasons I can think of for developing alternative sources of energy: First, to improve air quality in urban areas, and secondly, because we are still unsure of how much oil and coal we'll have left. Alternative energy technology is making advancements, but not nearly fast enough for it to be cost effective. In the mean time, we NEED to have less restricted access to our own carbon based fuels to produce cheap energy. That would go a long way toward reducing inflation and boosting our economic output.

Keith Olbermann -- Fired By MSNBC
1/21/2011 8:45 PM PST by TMZ Staff

Keith Olbermann was fired by MSNBC sources tell TMZ, and we're told it had everything to do with Comcast's acquisition of NBC.

Sources connected with the network tell us ... Comcast honchos did not like Keith's defiance and the way he played in the sandbox.

Our sources say Keith has around two years left on his contract, and he'll be paid his salary -- around $7 million a year.

We don't know if Comcast will let Keith make a deal with another network as part of an exit agreement, but it's a good bet he'll be benched for a minimum of 6 months, and probably longer.

Good riddance, but I have to wonder, with their chief asshat no longer present to make Liberals look even more ignorant and bat-shit insane than they already are, one would think that the station's ratings might finally start going up. I mean, since MSNBC gets the best ratings of all Liberal MSM news outlets, where, oh where will all the modern Marxist revolutionaries go now for their daily dose of leftist vitriol?

Moral of the story: Don't Be Out Foxed

Now, you all who know me, know that I'm a proud member of PETA (People who Eat Tasty Animals), but I must admit, there's something both inherently comical and educational about the outcome of this particular story...

Fox shoots man
– Thu Jan 13, 2:50 pm ET

MOSCOW (Reuters) – A wounded fox shot its would be killer in Belarus by pulling the trigger on the hunter's gun as the pair scuffled after the man tried to finish the animal off with the butt of the rifle, media said Thursday.

The unnamed hunter, who had approached the fox after wounding it from a distance, was in hospital with a leg wound, while the fox made its escape, media said, citing prosecutors from the Grodno region.

"The animal fiercely resisted and in the struggle accidentally pulled the trigger with its paw," one prosecutor was quoted as saying...

*snip*

FWIW, this story leads me to draw parallels between the wounded fox and what we need to do en mass, as constitutionally protected citizens of the United States of America, in order to survive the current circumstance which has been thrust upon us, in that, unless we get up and fight back against the aggression demonstrated by those who would enslave us - i.e. politicians attempting to make the case for more restrictive gun legislation following the Tuscon massacre - we might, just as well, expect to be as livestock led to slaughter.

Gun-Control Opportunists
The Wall Street Journal - Opinion Journal
JANUARY 14, 2011, 5:59 P.M. ET
By KIM STRASSEL

One of the tragedies of tragedies is that some politicians just can't resist the urge to use them for political gain. The Tucson shooting of Rep. Gabrielle Giffords first inspired liberals to score points against the tea party and is now inspiring a new round of political calls for gun control.

Within days of the Arizona tragedy, New York Democratic Rep. Carolyn McCarthy renewed her call for a ban on high-capacity clips and said she'll reintroduce legislation. She's been joined by fellow New York Rep. Peter King, one of the only outspoken Republicans on gun control, who said he wants a new law that would make it a crime to knowingly carry firearms within 1,000 feet of high-ranking officials (which conveniently includes congressmen.) In the Senate, New Jersey Democrat Frank Lautenberg intends to pursue parallel legislation to Ms. McCarthy's on clips that carry more than 10 rounds of ammunition. And New York Mayor Michael Bloomberg has piped up, again, in favor of expanding the sort of burdensome restrictions his city places on the Second Amendment to the nation as a whole.

*snip*

While this is NOT BY ANY MEANS a call to arms for violent overthrow of the government, THIS IS a call to self defense and the preservation of our liberties. As human beings and United States citizens, we have a God given right speak out critically against our tyrannical government as it states in the 1st amendment of our U.S. Constitution, to be secure in our persons, houses, papers, and effects as outlined in the 4th Amendment, and excercise the means by which to secure these liberties as provided for us in the 2nd Amendment. With the present rapid decline in freedom across the world and the possibility of our country being controlled by progressives and socialists for the next six years, how much longer do you think we have before we too find ourselves completely enslaved at gunpoint by a totalitarian kleptocracy.

Political Opportunism Gone Insane

First off, I don't want to spend much time on this issue as it is quickly becoming clear to most people that the far left are once again circling the wagons in an attempt to blame conservative politics for yet ANOTHER mass murder committed by one of their own. SSDD. To think that twenty years ago, this very tactic would have likely been quite successful. Within a week after the shooting, liberal propaganda, disseminated by lap-dogs in print and television media would have hypnotized the entire world into believing that Rush Limbaugh and his big fat mouth were chiefly responsible for inciting such horrible violence against a newly re-elected Democrat Congresswoman.

Today, we live in a very different world. With help from the internet, the rise in popularity of talk radio, and FOX News, people no longer are restricted to getting information from leftist college professors, leftist newspapers and periodicals, and leftist television and radio broadcast media. More importantly, the internet enables us to do our own research on past events, quotations, and public records. Because of this powerful resource, we are able to cross-check various claims made by educators, journalists and politicians, and verify their truthfulness or the lack there of.

I find it extremely unfortunate that so many, determined to protect their political ideology, would steep so low as to take a horrible event such as the Tuscon massacre and attempt to use it for their political advantage. It's bad enough that this should be a time for mourning and a time for allowing investigators to collect evidence and properly establish modus operandi; but when journalists, pundits and politicians on the far left waste no time laying blame at the feet of those engaged in CIVIL political discourse while solid, overwhelming evidence is emerging and showing that, in fact, the gunman's political leanings are much more closely in line with that of the far left, it only goes to show how spiteful and arrogant the left has truly become.

Religion of Peace Strikes Again...

Anyone who claims that the Global War On Terror (GWOT) - renamed to 'overseas contingency operations' shortly after Obama took office in 2009 - is not a religious war, has their head buried so far up their ass that they are unable to see the road ahead of us which we have been forced to drive on, unable to effectively prosecute this conflict, and therefore, unable to protect this country, its people or its freedoms. End of discussion.

New Year -> New Beginnings

Even though 2010 was an economic disaster for many of us - myself included, I must admit, as a whole, 2010 turned out to be a better year than 2009. Allow me to explain... First and foremost, I saw my countrymen rise up in defiance of radical leftist progressivism, retake a significant number of local government seats of power, retake the U.S. House of Representatives and made huge advances in balancing the power in the U.S. Senate. Hopefully in two tears, this momentum will continue and put our country on a much more solid footing, allowing the return of constitutional government.

On a more personal level, I was finally able to quit smoking after 30 years! I tried to quit by way of the nicotine patches, but after 3 days, I realized that I was able to do it without them and fought through it the rest of the way with regular chewing gum to satisfy my oral fixation. Bottom line is that it worked for me and I am happy to say that I'm free at last! Thank you God for the strength and will-power I needed to escape that bondage.

Even though I consider myself free from that addiction, I was only able to do so by treating my recovery in much the same way an alcoholic stays off the sauce. There really is little difference in the actual addiction. After 7 months, I still occasionally think about cigarettes, but as time goes by, I am able to work through those moments of weakness. I must admit that on three occasions since, I have "lit up." Although they were definitely moments of weakness, I would hardly compare it to falling off the wagon. Once was with my wife, once was with an old friend who was in town from Florida, and more recently, New Years Eve. On New Years Eve, in celebration of the holiday, I smoked a cigarillo (small cigar) dipped in rum. It was a nice indulgence and I was able to leave it at that. After the fact, I am happy to report, that I have no desire to return to that life of bondage.

Looking ahead, I sort-of made it a New Years resolution to start loosing weight and get back into shape. While I don't expect to return to the shape I was in 1988, I do want to be able to fit into some of my old clothes and have more energy to play with my kids. If my efforts begin to produce positive results, perhaps I will be able to go all the way. Only time will tell, but one thing is for sure, I don't want to be part of the statistic used to measure the number of people who give up on their New Years resolutions after a couple of weeks. As mentioned before, with God's help, all things are possible.

In closing, I just want to wish all of you a happy, healthy and prosperous New Year!
