2005... good riddance!

Alright folks, I’m closing out this year in a foul mood. On a personal level for me, the year 2005 sucked big time. I won’t go into all the crap I’ve had to go through and put up with over this past year, but let me tell you, it was one of the most wretched years for me in recent memory. It felt like every other day I had to endure an overdose of disrespect, putdowns, humiliation, ridicule, physical illness, intimidation, restriction, mockery, theft, antagonization, as well as physical and mental abuse. Am I complaining? You bet! One freakin’ day out of this whole year that I decide to vent on my personal gripes and you better believe I’m gonna bitch!

But just to be fair to myself, I should take a moment and reflect on some of the more decent moments of 2005. Let’s see… Cardinal Ratzinger became Pope Benedict XIV, George Bush was reelected, Iraq has become a bona-fide democracy, and… and… damnit! Wouldn’t you know it, I can’t think of anything else. Well, at least I was happy to see this little gem on WorldNetDaily.com today giving some indication that we’re finally gearing up to kick a little mullah butt over in Iran. Dear God, I sure hope so. That crazy sunamabich over there is no less a threat than Adolph Hitler with nukes. The sooner he gets scratched off the axis of evil list, the better (same goes for that pot-bellied communist midget over there in Northern Korea)!

Sorry, I’m just about fed up with the whole damned thing. To me 2005 was nearly a total wash. I pray that God gives me the strength and determination to make 2006 a better year. Happy New Year? I sure as hell hope so.

Nobody should ever have to suffer the annual pangs of winter holiday capitalism without the joy and peace brought about by the happy Christmas holiday donkey.

WOW! Now that's what I call Christmas Holiday Spirit! How could I possibly have made it through this Christmas holiday season without that profound message of love?!?! MMMMM... Fills me right up!

Better late than never...

Isn't this is what should've been put inside the CHRISTMAS cards sent out by the White House this year?

Presidential Message: Christmas 2005

'Behold, a virgin shall conceive and bear a son, and his name shall be called Emmanuel' which means, God with us.

Matthew 1:23

More than 2,000 years ago, a virgin gave birth to a Son, and the God of heaven came to Earth. Mankind had received its Savior, and to those who had dwelled in darkness, the light of hope had come. Each Christmas, we celebrate that first coming anew, and we rejoice in the knowledge that the God who came to Earth that night in Bethlehem is with us still and will remain with us forever.

Christmas is a season of hope and joy, a time to give thanks for the blessing of Christ's birth and for the blessings that surround us every day of the year. We have much to be thankful for in this country, and we have a responsibility to help those in need. Jesus calls us to help others, and acts of kindness toward the less fortunate fulfill the spirit of the Christmas season.

On Christmas, we pray for freedom, justice, and peace on Earth. We remember those who have made the ultimate sacrifice for our country and for our freedom, and we ask for God's blessing on their loved ones. We ask God to watch over all of our men and women in uniform. Many are serving in distant lands, helping to advance the cause of freedom and peace. Our entire Nation is grateful to them and prays for their safe return.

Laura and I send our best wishes for a blessed and merry Christmas.

GEORGE W. BUSH

What's that? Oh yeah, that's right... it was a HAPPY HOLIDAYS card.
Well, better late than never.

Gone after game birds in higher pastures...

A friend of mine is suffering the loss of his best buddy and hunting partner today. He PhotoShopped the clip above and sent it to me just this evening. Although I don't know Bandit, I can tell you that loosing your best friend and hunting partner is by far one of the hardest thing I've ever had to deal with in my entire life. For days, I cried like baby what just lost its momma and in the weeks following, I would have momentary outbursts just thinking about him. You become so attached to that animal that it's like loosing a close family member when they pass. So Kevin, if you’re reading this, just know that I feel your pain, brother. My most sincere condolences go out to you in this time of great loss.

Party Poopers...

Remember that awesome Christmas light show I talked about last week? Well, it appears that the guy who set it all up got tons of coverage both on the internet and the local news media. He got so much coverage that folks came out in droves to see the show. With all those cars clogging up the neighborhood streets, one thing led to another and wouldn't you know, someone had a little fender bender... awwww. So, of course, the cops show up and made Carson Williams of WonderlandChristmas.com shut down the show. What a bunch of party poopers! Oh well, I guess fame comes at a price. Just lookie what happened to SondraK when Michelle Malkin listed SK's link about how horrible our troops were terrorizing the Iraqis in a post on her heavily visited weblog. Yup, being a celebrity must not be all that it's cracked up to be. BTW, congrats to SK for making the runner up list in this years blog award thingy. Yeah, I vote for her once a day:)

This is one of those exceptions...

As a Catholic, I hold a respect for all human life; even that which has not demonstrated itself worthy of such. My case in point is one Stanley Williams (aka. “Tookie”). This man helped form one of the most ruthless and bloodthirsty street gangs in modern history. Although, after roughly an hour worth of searching, I can’t find any solid statistics to back up the vast number of claims circling the internet, from what I gather, the group is responsible for the deaths of thousands of innocent people, not-to-mention the thousands of youths whose lives have been destroyed by association with this group. Leading others into a life of murderous crime is a just as bad as being accessory to the act itself.

Capital punishment has long been considered an “eye for an eye” approach to justice - which in this day and age has lost a considerable amount of necessity – in that it exacts an equal amount of compensatory punishment with relation to the crime committed. However, if that were the case today, the victim’s relatives or the local community would therefore be given the opportunity to impart equal severity upon those convicted of their crime. Today, for most practical purposes, this type of punishment would be considered purely barbaric. In ancient times people would be stoned to death for much lesser crimes. Other greater offenses were usually dealt with much harsher measures i.e. decapitation, impalement, disembowelment, crucifixion etc. Unfortunately, these practices still continue today in some regions of the world; mostly places under the tyranny of communism or Islamic Fascism, yet somehow, under the blind eye of the United Nations, they appear to remain immune from scrutiny for their countless human rights violations.

Fortunately, we live in a much more civilized society where the condemned is offered multiple opportunities to redeem themselves and make substantial and demonstrable improvements in their contribution to society at large in the hopes of making a successful appeal for mercy in order to have their execution sentence commuted. Stanley Williams did not sufficiently demonstrate this ability. A mere handful of children’s books and telling kids that gang life is bad for your health, does not quantify nor sufficiently compensate for the brutal, assassination style murder of four innocent people along with the criminal badge of honor he proudly carried for many years following.

Although I have my reservations about the use of capital punishment and believe that such measures should be reserved for special circumstances, this is one of those cases where I believe the punishment accurately fits the crime. If not for the simple fact that this man and others of his caliber pose a known threat to the society at large, continue to romanticize their evil ways and act as roll models for others who fall prey such mentality, then I would be much more comfortable with sparing his life. This, however, is not a situation which can be dealt with in half measures and therefore I am in full agreement with the State of California and their decision to terminate this man’s life.

Some might ask “If you were a true pro-life Catholic, you would not be in favor of the death penalty. How can you be opposed to abortion yet support capital punishment? You can’t have it both ways.” To which I would say “How little you know of the Catholic faith! Catholicism by its very nature is “pro-life” and therefore includes provisions for the preservation of life within society… even if it requires the termination of hostile life in order to serve and protect the greater society at large. Perhaps if you took the time to stop listening to all the asshats in the Liberal MSM and actually read the Catechism of the Catholic Church, you would at least be thinking with half a brain more than you appear to be using up until now!” The fact of the matter is that the Liberal way of thinking puts everything on equal moral footing. They spend far too much time making excuses for what is wrong and far too little time acknowledging that which is right. They live in a world where the line between good and bad is blurred by their desire to eliminate personal accountability – foremost in matters dealing with morality and the lack thereof. As for the Catholic Church, there is a clear distinction between that which is good and that which is evil. For that very reason, the church is by nature Liberal’s worst enemy. By any and all means, they wish to discredit the faithful and render the church impotent. If it were not for the moral backbone of the Catholic Church, evil would have long conquered and destroyed the human race.

For your education benefit, here is the Catholic Church’s official stance on abortion:

Abortion

(footnotes and complete text can be found here)

2270 Human life must be respected and protected absolutely from the moment of conception. From the first moment of his existence, a human being must be recognized as having the rights of a person - among which is the inviolable right of every innocent being to life.71

Before I formed you in the womb I knew you, and before you were born I consecrated you.72

My frame was not hidden from you, when I was being made in secret, intricately wrought in the depths of the earth.73

2271 Since the first century the Church has affirmed the moral evil of every procured abortion. This teaching has not changed and remains unchangeable. Direct abortion, that is to say, abortion willed either as an end or a means, is gravely contrary to the moral law:

You shall not kill the embryo by abortion and shall not cause the newborn to perish.74

God, the Lord of life, has entrusted to men the noble mission of safeguarding life, and men must carry it out in a manner worthy of themselves. Life must be protected with the utmost care from the moment of conception: abortion and infanticide are abominable crimes.75

2272 Formal cooperation in an abortion constitutes a grave offense. The Church attaches the canonical penalty of excommunication to this crime against human life. "A person who procures a completed abortion incurs excommunication latae sententiae,"76 "by the very commission of the offense,"77 and subject to the conditions provided by Canon Law.78 The Church does not thereby intend to restrict the scope of mercy. Rather, she makes clear the gravity of the crime committed, the irreparable harm done to the innocent who is put to death, as well as to the parents and the whole of society.

2273 The inalienable right to life of every innocent human individual is a constitutive element of a civil society and its legislation:

"The inalienable rights of the person must be recognized and respected by civil society and the political authority. These human rights depend neither on single individuals nor on parents; nor do they represent a concession made by society and the state; they belong to human nature and are inherent in the person by virtue of the creative act from which the person took his origin. Among such fundamental rights one should mention in this regard every human being's right to life and physical integrity from the moment of conception until death."79

"The moment a positive law deprives a category of human beings of the protection which civil legislation ought to accord them, the state is denying the equality of all before the law. When the state does not place its power at the service of the rights of each citizen, and in particular of the more vulnerable, the very foundations of a state based on law are undermined. . . . As a consequence of the respect and protection which must be ensured for the unborn child from the moment of conception, the law must provide appropriate penal sanctions for every deliberate violation of the child's rights."80

2274 Since it must be treated from conception as a person, the embryo must be defended in its integrity, cared for, and healed, as far as possible, like any other human being.

Prenatal diagnosis is morally licit, "if it respects the life and integrity of the embryo and the human fetus and is directed toward its safe guarding or healing as an individual. . . . It is gravely opposed to the moral law when this is done with the thought of possibly inducing an abortion, depending upon the results: a diagnosis must not be the equivalent of a death sentence."81

2275 "One must hold as licit procedures carried out on the human embryo which respect the life and integrity of the embryo and do not involve disproportionate risks for it, but are directed toward its healing the improvement of its condition of health, or its individual survival."82

"It is immoral to produce human embryos intended for exploitation as disposable biological material."83

"Certain attempts to influence chromosomic or genetic inheritance are not therapeutic but are aimed at producing human beings selected according to sex or other predetermined qualities. Such manipulations are contrary to the personal dignity of the human being and his integrity and identity"84 which are unique and unrepeatable.

…and here is the official position on capital punishment:

Legitimate Defense

(footnotes and complete text can be found here)

2265 Legitimate defense can be not only a right but a grave duty for one who is responsible for the lives of others. The defense of the common good requires that an unjust aggressor be rendered unable to cause harm. For this reason, those who legitimately hold authority also have the right to use arms to repel aggressors against the civil community entrusted to their responsibility.

2266 The efforts of the state to curb the spread of behavior harmful to people's rights and to the basic rules of civil society correspond to the requirement of safeguarding the common good. Legitimate public authority has the right and duty to inflict punishment proportionate to the gravity of the offense. Punishment has the primary aim of redressing the disorder introduced by the offense. When it is willingly accepted by the guilty party, it assumes the value of expiation. Punishment then, in addition to defending public order and protecting people's safety, has a medicinal purpose: as far as possible, it must contribute to the correction of the guilty party.67

2267 Assuming that the guilty party's identity and responsibility have been fully determined, the traditional teaching of the Church does not exclude recourse to the death penalty, if this is the only possible way of effectively defending human lives against the unjust aggressor.

If, however, nonlethal means are sufficient to defend and protect people's safety from the aggressor, authority will limit itself to such means, as these are more in keeping with the concrete conditions of the common good and are more in conformity to the dignity of the human person.

Today, in fact, as a consequence of the possibilities which the state has for effectively preventing crime, by rendering one who has committed an offense incapable of doing harm - without definitely taking away from him the possibility of redeeming himself - the cases in which the execution of the offender is an absolute necessity are very rare, if not practically nonexistent.NT

My prayers go out to the families of the victims, the souls of those who’s lives were cut short by savage means and I also pray that Almighty God have mercy on the soul of Stanley Williams… hopefully more mercy than Mr. Williams showed his victims.

Uh-oh boss!

A recent ABC News poll found that 70% of Iraqis say that life is GOOD! I can just imagine the conversations that transpired in the editorial room at ABC. Ah, to be a fly on that wall!

Uh-oh boss! Remember that poll you wanted us to run about just how bad the Iraqi people's lives were with Bush's occupying forces still terrorizing their country? Well, look what results we ended up with! It says that 70% of those idiots actually think life is GOOD! What a bunch of dopes! Sheesh! Don't worry boss, we'll fix it up before we run with it. There's just no way we're going to give Bush and those Iraqi dolts any sense of optimism prior to the election this Thursday! No way!

Come now... did you actually expect them to treat it any differently?

Israel and the US must protect itself!

The nation of Israel is under threat of annihilation. If the Iranian Islamo-facists secure a nuclear warhead to the top of a long range missile, they will certainly use it to “wipe Israel off the map!” If the nation of Israel does not take the action necessary to eliminate this threat, they will surely suffer a horror which all men have feared for more than half a century. Consequently, if the nation of Israel does what needs to be done in order to secure its safety, the United Nations will undoubtedly try to condemn the Israelis and the United States will have no choice but to stand behind the tiny democratic nation in their preemptive action.

My prediction is that these events will not take place until after this week’s elections in Iraq. Ideally, we would be in a much better position to offer Israel our military support once we have built up the Iraqi forces sufficiently enough for us to regroup our own forces. Whatever the case, we need to prepare for the inevitable. The time is quickly approaching where we will need to deal with other evils of that region and deal with them severely we must.

The terrorists are anxious to get their hands on the ultimate doomsday weapon and if they are not stopped over there, they will bring their terrifying cargo over here. I have long anticipated a nuclear weapon being brought into New York Harbor or the Chesapeake, carefully concealed upon a cargo ship. Once within range, a simple rocket could propel a 20 kiloton nuclear device just high enough up in the air to detonate and cause maximum yield. If you think 9/11 was horrifying, just imagine what it will feel like to loose an entire city!

Other thing are better left forgotten...

Am I the only one who noticed the MSM literally obsessed in absolute grief to the point of orgasm (if there ever could be such a thing) on the 25th anniversary of John Lennon’s death yesterday? The whole day was awash with up to the minute reports on ALL THE PEOPLE flocking Strawberry Fields in Central Park to commemorate the loss of someone they felt was one of history’s greatest humanitarians. Yet, just two days ago, as we commemorated the 64th anniversary of a sneak attack on our country’s soil which resulted in the death of over 2400 Americans, 1200 severely wounded, 18 ships and 200 aircraft destroyed and the start of what would be a brutal 4 year war against the iron-willed Japanese Empire, the MSM was hard pressed to make any mention of it at all.

It doesn’t take a degree in rocket science to figure out the obvious direction of their partiality.

Obviously, if you ask people what they thought of John Lennon, most would likely proclaim him to be a true visionary of world peace and brotherly love, an outstanding example of human compassion. To me, the man was nothing more than a useless hippie song writer that made millions of dollars off huge corporate recording contracts, selling radical messages aimed at promoting communist ideology. What? You think I’m nuts? Ok, let’s look at the theme song for the modern peace movement, shall we?

Imagine

By John Lennon

Imagine there's no heaven,
(atheism – God is non-existent)
It's easy if you try,
No hell below us,
(In other words we are/make our own hell)
Above us only sky,
(only believe in what you can see)
Imagine all the people
living for today...
(instead of for the future)

Imagine there's no countries,
(globalization – one world government)
It isn’t hard to do,
Nothing to kill or die for,
(…or believe in or stand up for either)
No religion too,
(back to atheism)
Imagine all the people
living life in peace...
(utopianist pacifism)

Imagine no possessions,
(no private ownership)
I wonder if you can,
No need for greed or hunger,
(unless you are a communist dictator)
A brotherhood of man,
(humanist utopianism)
Imagine all the people
Sharing all the world...
(“From each according to his ability, to each according to his needs” – Karl Marx)

You may say I’m a dreamer,
(yes, resulting from your years of drug abuse)
But I’m not the only one,
(I know! Millions of other have also been deceived by the empty lies of communism)
I hope some day you'll join us,
(no thanx! for me capitalist democracy = true freedom)
And the world will live as one.
(back to globalism blah, blah, blah…)

Sorry folks, but if you don’t see that this sort of daydream drivel is nothing more than a page right out of the Communist Manifesto, then you are just the kind of idiot needed to build the ranks of the modern communist movement. Even a hard line commie dictator like Fidel Castro came to that realization - albeit 20 years after the singer’s death. If this one song isn’t enough to convince you of what I’m talking about, go take a hard and objective look at some of the other songs he wrote.

"Revolution No. 9"
"Working Class Hero"
"Back in the USSR"
"Attica State"
"Angela" (about Angela Davis – Google it)
"Piggies"
"Power to the People" (need I say more?)

You know, I’ve long been a believer of the phrase; “You can lead a horse to water, but you can’t force him to drink.” Well, be that as it may – and being that I am such a caring and compassionate individual - I would love to help clue you in on reality by reminding you that the road to hell is paved with good intentions, but if you’re busy buying into the bullshit being propagated by the John Lennons of this world, then you probably don’t believe in hell in the first place. So what’s the use?!

Some things will NEVER be forgotten...

A prayer and a salute to all who perished and survived that day, 64 years ago. We will never forget their sacrifice, we will never forget the horror they endured and we will NEVER cower in the face of evil lest we condemn the very survival of the greatest nation which God has ever granted to man and the world has ever known.

Actions Speak Louder Than Words

Great poem! Too bad our partners in the WOT don't think so. Then again, what do you expect from a country where terrorists somehow still find sanctuary dispite the increased threats they face from our missiles. Betcha ol' Binny been hangin out there quite a bit too. There's gratitude for ya!

Christmas Light Envy

Click on the pic to play the WMV video!

This morning I received an email from a guy I work with and as an attachment came this video of someone’s house all wired up for Christmas, but what was special about this light setup was the choreography involved. The lights are synchronized to music via computer! The light show was done by a guy named Carson Williams from Mason, Ohio and his website is at WonderlandChristmas.com. I’ve never heard of this being done before, but I could visualize all the work involved. I could also just imagine how much that neighbor who used a bazillion lights down the street from me would be writhing in envy if I did this in front of my yard! It’s a darn good thing I don’t get involved with petty oneupsmanship *cough* *cough*... especially when it comes to Christmas decorations. The video was so cool that folks who’ve never heard of this guy wound up submitting it to Snoops.com for verification. Was this just a video stunt or would someone really go through all this trouble just for a Christmas light display? Well, apparently so. The only thing I didn’t like was the stupid hippy peacenik symbol, but otherwise, the show looks pretty awesome. WOW! Do we live in the greatest country on earth or what?

Confessions, Corrections & Cons

It appears that I've been busted. Two days ago I posted a rant on how United States Liberals hate Christmas. Although I could have written much more on the topic to drive the message home (so-to-say), it was getting past midnight and I was exhausted, yet I still felt a tremendous need to get something posted before I quit for the night. So, I kept it down to a simple paragraph and an even more simple picture which I grabbed in haste from a Google image search. Just so you know, this is not my typical method of publishing my frustrations for you all to see. I am not a typical fly-by-post kinda guy. With that said, it should be known that I make every effort to ensure that my rants include factually correct information. Unfortunately, I erred in my last post and felt that I should immediately come clean with an apology and a correction. The last thing I need is to be accused of cooking up stories to destroy the image of others. That's a reputation better left to the likes of Dan Rather and Mary Mapes.

Anyway, one of the emails I received yesterday pointed out something quite disturbing to me...

Mo,

Do you realize that you're latest post which claims that "U.S. Liberals hate Christmas" uses a picture of a group of people that are not even part of American politics? The peeps in that picture are British citizens campaigning for the "Liberal Democrat" party in merry old England!

Just thought you would like to know.

Dave

After reading that, I'm sure you can realize the amount of shock and embarrassment I was in. Never the less, I was determined to set the record straight - hopefully soon so that nobody would notice. If I just swap out the picture for one littered with our own homegrown moonbats, the problem would be resolved and that would be the end of it. I did, however, hate like anything having to replace the picture because it just looked so good for the post. Then, it occurred to me; I remembered a story I read last week about how the commies over at MoveOn.org ran an anti-war Christmas advertisement claiming how horrible it was that United States soldiers would not be home with their families this Christmas holiday and it was all George Bushes fault (emphasis mine). Much to our surprise *cough* *cough*, there were several things in the ad that just appeared to be inconsistent with MoveOn.org's message as described by a spokesman for the Defense Department...

Todd Vician, a spokesman with the U.S. Defense Department, told Cybercast News Service after viewing the ad that none of the men featured in the photograph was wearing U.S. uniforms. "We don't have that style of desert camouflage," he said.

Vician noted that combat fatigues worn by the Marines and the Army have "a pixilated design," and Air Force BDUs (Battle Dress Uniforms) have a different pattern than the uniforms shown in the spot.

In addition to the men wearing foreign uniforms, Vician stated that he had never seen U.S. soldiers using meal containers like those shown in the ad.

The spot contains another discrepancy. While the photo of the soldiers as seen in the advertisement shows one man wearing shorts, a still of the same picture on the MoveOn.org website shows the same man wearing long pants.

And so I figured that if it was ok for MoveOn.org to doctor pictures of Brits to look like Yanks in order to get their message across, then why can't I???

Now that I know my picture more accurately represents American Liberals as the ass clowns that they really are, I can finally sleep better at night.

Gold Medal for You! Shouts to Michelle Malkin for the soldier pic.

U.S. Liberals Hate Christmas!!!

Doesn't it suck that every year these idiots wage endless war against America's favorite holiday? While they pretend to be so concerned for the common folk and try so desperately to put on such a pleasant face for the general public to see, they are working ever diligently behind the scenes at tearing down this country's most beloved traditions. Just today, I got a flyer in the mail from our local fire department. They're announcing an event for kids of all ages. They're calling it a "Children's Holiday Party!" Slated for December 18th, the flyer states and I quote: "Join us for refreshments, crafts, (sic) and a visit from Santa." The flyer wraps it up at the bottom with a big ol' "Happy Holidays!" I called the woman at the firehouse who was arranging the festivities, asked for Ms. So-n-so and asked her why they are having a party for kids with Santa and refusing to call it a Christmas party? She basically said that I was an inconsiderate neanderthal who lacks respect for the religious diversity in our community. Oh really? Then how is it that our sleepy little community of 3,000 people - made up of 88% Christians - has all of a sudden become so diverse? The only way to save Christmas is to counter these clowns with the truth at every opportunity.

*UPDATED*
