On November 10th, 1775, the Continental Marines were formed as the land combat wing of the United States Naval Forces during the American Revolutionary War. They have since been the primary forward deployment forces of nearly all our military engagements.
I have several family members who are either active duty or retired Leathernecks, and the devotion of each to their country and to the Corps is absolutely remarkable.
In recognition of them and all others in the United States Armed Forces who have fought to defend freedom, what better way to honor them and show your appreciation for their service this Veterans Day than telling them of your gratitude directly. Major League Baseball and Welcome Back Veterans have teamed up to get your words of recognition directly to the vets themselves. Please take a minute to click the banner below, visit their site and tell those who make it possible for you and your children to sleep in peace at night that you are in debt for their service.
