A tough pill to swallow...

Every Friday I get the unfortunate privilege of listening to NYC Mayor Michael Bloomberg for an hour on WABC?s John Gambling show where he gets to pat himself on the back for all his grand socialist accomplishments. For those of you not familiar with this guy, Bloomberg is the epitome of the acronym ?RINO.? Up until the 2001 NYC mayoral election, he was a life long Democrat embracing all the political views of the far-left including, but not limited to higher taxes, gun control, abortion on demand and gay rights. Since then, he has continued his charade of calling himself a Republican while acting like a typical Democrat. From raising NYC taxes through the roof to imposing a Nazi-like ban on smoking throughout NYC, Mike Bloomberg has proven to be quite an ardent socialist liberal. When I hear him say things like "Guns kill people, it's time to get them off the streets," knowing full well that he employs his own personal armed bodyguards, it just makes me want to smash my radio into a million little pieces! Typical liberal hypocrite! What?s good for him isn?t equally deserved for folks like you or I!

Anyway, this past Friday I heard Bloomy say that he?s planning to increase taxes for a $3 million program aimed at promoting use of the morning after pill "Plan-B." Of course they plan on using that money to inform school kids about this new wonder drug instead of pushing for abstinence and I?m sure that they will conveniently forget about telling them that it?s just another form of abortion, it?s only 89% effective and like "the pill," there are some very real and risky side effects. Ongoing studies have found that use of birth control pills increases the likelihood of stroke and pulmonary embolism, anxiety and depression and research is still ongoing as to weather or not oral contraceptives are linked to breast and uterine cancers. Like its predecessor "Preven," Plan-B is similar to taking a quadruple dosage of a birth control pill thereby forcing the womb to reject the fertilized egg. I liken this to a scenario where a child is desperately reaching out for the comfort and safety of its mother?s loving arms and instead the mother throws the child off the top of a 20 story building. The deeper issue here is that people need to wake up and realize that as soon as a human egg is fertilized, the mystery of human life begins, intentional or otherwise it is still a viable human being with specific needs to maintain its life. By denying that human being - a defenseless unborn child - the essentials needed for him or her to live, weather you like it or not, you are committing murder.

A right to kill?

I am undergoing a momentary lapse of sanity this morning. While there are few things in this nutty world that confuse the hell out of me, I do feel the occasional need to smack my head into a brick wall in hopes of achieving enlightenment into what I would otherwise consider to be an obvious display of blatant ignorance. With that said, this sad little story caught my attention in a very disturbing way: It appears that a man in Lauderdale-by-the-Sea, Florida determined that his automobile was no longer capable of continuing its life in an efficient and self-sustaining manner, saying that it "outlived its usefulness," and therefore, decided to put it out of its misery by firing five rounds from his .38 into the vehicle's hood. As a result, he was arrested by Broward County sheriff's deputies. While the firearm must have been legally registered and because of limits in current law, the authorities could only charge him with discharging the weapon in public.

However, it confuses the heck out of me to think that if this guy wanted to, he could have just gone to the Florida courts to get the proper legal permission. Why not? The courts seam to have no problem with allowing those having legal ownership of something the prerogative to make important decisions over it such as those involving weather or not it should live or die. Considering the fact that the state of Florida has no problem with allowing a woman "owned" by her husband to be put out of her misery because he believes she has outlived her usefulness and proves so in court should make doing so to one?s car no big deal what so ever. Right?

Benedict XVI - Defender of the Faith!

I cannot thank God enough for giving us Joseph Cardinal Ratzinger as our new Pope Benedict XVI!!! This guy is both the shield and the sword that the Roman Catholic Church needs. They don?t call him "God's Rottweiler" for nothing! He will rule the Church on doctrinal issues with the iron hand of God! As we live in such a tumultuous time with the constant rise of rabid reformationism attacking the Church from within, there needs to be a leader with the theological muscle necessary to beat back these forces of evil and their poisonous liberal influence over Christ?s flock. Knowing well what the election of this righteous man to the throne of Saint Peter signifies, the devil must certainly be shaking in fear. As it is, the reaction from those who choose to live their lives in spite of God?s moral authority has been one of absolute disillusion. As soon as the announcement of the new Pope was made, I fell to my knees in tears thanking God, but within half an hour, new reports began circulating from the MSM painting the election of Cardinal Ratzinger as the worst possible thing that could have happened, certain that his hard line on doctrinal issues would bring about a theological civil war within the Catholic Church itself.

Here?s a great example of what I?m talking about. Andrew Sullivan ? the liberal Brit columnist who laughably tries to call himself a Catholic ? is in the process of having a nervous breakdown. In recent days, his fears that Cardinal Ratzinger would be chosen as Pope John Paul II?s successor have been filled with a sense of impending doom. After reading some of his blog posts, one might get the feeling that he was anticipating a meteor the size of Texas to fall out of the sky and land on his pointy liberal head. Then, with the announcement and confirmation of his worst fears, his tone clearly shifted into full meltdown mode as indicated in the following post...

And so the Catholic church accelerates its turn toward authoritarianism, hostility to modernity, assertion of papal supremacy and quashing of internal debate and dissent. We are back to the nineteenth century. Maybe this is a necessary moment. Maybe pressing this movement to its logical conclusion will clarify things. But those of us who are struggling against what our Church is becoming, and the repressive priorities it is embracing, can only contemplate a form of despair. The Grand Inquisitor, who has essentially run the Church for the last few years, is now the public face. John Paul II will soon be seen as a liberal. The hard right has now cemented its complete control of the Catholic church. And so ... to prayer. What else do we now have?

Poor Andy, he?s having such a hard time with this that it almost makes you want to email him a recording of the world?s saddest song played on the world?s smallest violin. Sheesh!

And with that, I must reiterate that I am totally fed up with the liberal MSM and their attacks on the time honored traditions of the Roman Catholic Church. All day yesterday I had to put up with the overwhelmingly biased news reports on how recent polls were indicating that most Americans were so desperate to see the next Pope soften the Church?s stance on things like celibacy in the priesthood, contraception, abortion, euthanasia and women being ordained as priests. Every hour these vultures would report on weather or not the Vatican?s chimney puffed any clouds of smoke and then they would turn to the thoughts of folks passing by on American city streets. In every instance the reporter seemed to only find opinions of liberal minded individuals voicing their displeasure with the Church on the aforementioned issues without giving voice to any individual presenting a difference of opinion. I just couldn?t help but notice how saddened they all sounded by the fact that the Cardinals would likely elect another doctrinal conservative to lead the flock. Why doesn?t any of this surprise me? I knew all to well from the past that the MSM was heavily biased against Christianity. Seeing how much positive coverage they gave to Pope John Paul II upon his death, I was almost left with a favorable impression of them, but after hearing their coverage of the seemingly endless caterwauling from anti-traditionalist Catholics wishing the Church would change to fit their questionable lifestyles, I was once again left with the impression that the MSM has nothing but utter contempt for my religion.

Now that we are finally under new leadership, I sincerely hope that Benedict XVI drops the hammer and cleans house. I hope he draws that proverbial line in the sand and lets the world know that while God?s love for us is limitless and absolute, his requirements for how we live are not to be watered down by a bunch of humanist liberals seeking to undermine His Divine Authority and Holy Mother Church. Hopefully, if Cardinal Ratzinger?s homily prior to the beginning of the conclave on Monday is any indication of his knowledge and position on the evil that seeks to scatter Christ?s flock, then we are thankfully going to be in for quite a treat...

How many winds of doctrine we have known in recent decades, how many ideological currents, how many ways of thinking... The small boat of thought of many Christians has often been tossed about by these waves - thrown from one extreme to the other: from Marxism to liberalism, even to libertinism; from collectivism to radical individualism; from atheism to a vague religious mysticism; from agnosticism to syncretism, and so forth. Every day new sects are created and what Saint Paul says about human trickery comes true, with cunning which tries to draw those into error (cf Eph 4, 14). Having a clear faith, based on the Creed of the Church, is often labeled today as a fundamentalism. Whereas, relativism, which is letting oneself be tossed and "swept along by every wind of teaching", looks like the only attitude (acceptable) to today's standards. We are moving towards a dictatorship of relativism which does not recognize anything as for certain and which has as its highest goal one's own ego and one's own desires.

I pray for the new Holy Father and I also pray for the continued strengthening of the Roman Catholic Church. I also pray that Benedict XVI will be successful in gathering Christ?s flock closer to home while fighting off the modernist liberal wolves who seek to poison God?s children with their deceitful lies.

Dominus Vobiscum.

VIVE IL PAPA BENEDICT XVI!!!

Cardinal Joseph Ratzinger!!!

Without a doubt, he's the best man for the job!

Ye shall know them by their fruits...

Back almost two years ago when the Rev. Gene Robinson was confirmed as the first openly gay bishop in the Episcopal Church's history, it sent a shock wave through the entire Conservative Christian community. While it had been know for years that openly homosexual men were operating as priests throughout several Protestant denominations, never before had any been elevated to this rank. Although homosexuals have a long history of involvement in the Christian ministry, it hasn?t been until just recently that they?ve been emerging from their closets and voicing pride over their deviant sexuality orientation. To the best of my knowledge it has only been the Roman Catholic Church that continues to maintain a ?don?t ask ? don?t tell? policy with respect to its homosexual clergy. According to Latin Rite, any one entering the priesthood must swear an oath of celibacy regardless of sexual orientation. As described in the encyclical, "Sacerdotalis Caelibatus" by Pope Paul VI in 1967, celibacy in the priesthood is an act of imitating Christ, who Himself was celibate. Doing so is an act of sacrificial love where the priest gives himself totally to the service of God and the Church in preparation for the coming Kingdom of God, where Christ said, "In the resurrection, they neither marry nor are given in marriage, but are like angels in heaven" (Mt 22:30).

Personally speaking, I feel it?s bad enough that this Christian ?Bishop? Robinson proclaims himself an openly professed homosexual which directly contradicts nature and the teachings of the Holy Bible in the first place, but now he?s got the chutzpah to be giving words of praise to Planned Parenthood - an organization responsible for the murder of millions of unborn children! How is it that a respected denomination of Christianity chose to elevate this kind of a man to such a high position of theological authority? Being an old school Catholic who?s lived with religious discrimination throughout most of my life - due in part to the many historical misgivings of my own church - I believe I?m the last person who should be criticizing other forms of Christian worship, but am I the only one here that notices the rapid decline in the moral message coming from those claiming to be authorities on the subject?

What troubles me so is the fact that so many out there have become so desensitized to evil representing itself in shades of grey that they just go about their lives indifferent to the fact that the walls of morality are crumbling around them. Sadly, we live in a world filled with moral relativism which is tearing at the very fabric of our decent society. So many things that used to be considered wrong are now being portrayed as liberating or acceptable. I could be mistaken here, but I tend to think that most people have got to be getting sick and tired of waking up every morning and seeing the lines that once distinguished the difference between good and evil keep getting more and more blurred every day. I mean, look at what?s being spewed across our TV sets and making news in the tabloids. Without a doubt, we are living in an age were confusion reigns supreme and make no mistake about it folks; confusion only comes from the devil.

I firmly believe that those who choose to preach about the goodness of the Lord should do so without changing the rules as they go along. Be mindful that the true heart of a man shows in the example they set for others. Simply put, if you are out there abusing your church given authority by teaching others that evil is good you are clearly in opposition to God?s plan and have no business ministering biblical truth to others.

For such men are false apostles, deceitful workmen, masquerading as apostles of Christ. And no wonder, for Satan himself masquerades as an angel of light. It is not surprising, then, if his servants masquerade as servants of righteousness. Their end will be what their actions deserve. - 2 Corinthians 11:13-15

Wadda ya know, it's that time again!

Today was a painful day for me as it probably was for millions of other Americans out there. Thank God most of us only have to go through it once a year. Even though we try to prepare in the days leading up to it, it?s never, ever enough. It?s always an uncomfortable feeling, sometimes even a little painful and you always feel so violated the day after. I could have put it off for a couple of months, but they say it?s always better to just do it and get it over with otherwise it will just come back to haunt you. One thing that really made it much easier is that for a nominal fee you can now get it done right over the internet. Ahhhhhh, the joys of technology! It?s become such a simple and common procedure that I actually decided to let my kids watch this year so they could know what to look forward to when they grow up (hehehe). I think they were a little frightened at first, but I reassured them that as long as Liberal Socialists like Hillary Clinton aren?t running the show, they?ll probably be spared the pain of having to bend over and grab their ankles every April 15th.

Honestly though folks, I don't mind paying some due to Uncle Sam because I know it takes greenback for the gummint to operate. I really don't mind paying some of that burden through income tax or local/federal sales taxes either.......to a reasonable point.

I believe EVERYONE should pay equally into the system. No excuses! I see nothing wrong with paying a small percentage of your earnings (like maybe 5%) into taxes. I mean, for cryin? out loud, to be tithed to the Roman Catholic Church requires 10 freakin' percent of your total income no matter how much or how little you make! And THEY, the folks in the church, are the peeps that are supposed to be responsible for the lion's share of caring for the poor, the homeless, the unemployed, the disparaged and the downtrodden. They are supposed to be the ones who bring charity to the underprivileged by bringing the message of love and hope that faith in God provides. Since when did the gummint become a house of secular worship demanding that those who make little pay none and those who make more pay everything?!?!?! From each according to his means, to each according to his needs????? Yeah, right!

More importantly then that - and here's the bottom line; If I'm gonna tithe to the almighty gummint for 35 FREAKIN? PERCENT OF MY HARD EARNED INCOME, you better believe I want to see some damned accountability for what they spend my money on!!!!!!!

1. I want my hard earned money to pay for the protection of my nation and its borders and kicking the living shit outta anyone who attacks or even threatens the peaceful existence of my country!

2. I want my hard earned money to pay for emergency response people in the community where I live in case my kid falls off his dirt bike and breaks his neck or I total my car from hittin' Mr. Buck-in-heat runnin? across the road after little Miss Doe.

3. I want my hard earned money to pay for police to enforce the laws that protect my constitutional and my God given rights to life, liberty and the pursuit of happiness.

4. I want my hard earned money to pay for community infrastructure (i.e. water/sewer, highway, sanitation, etc.) which allows me and my neighbors to live relatively comfortable lives.

5. I want my hard earned money to pay reasonable salaries to the minimally required number of people needed to oversee the operation of the above mentioned items.

6. And finally, I want my hard earned money to pay for the education that I want my children to have. If the school closest to me isn?t making the grade and serves as nothing more than a processing center for liberal indoctrination, then I should be allowed to get a voucher, yank my kids outta there and place them in a quality school of my choice. Since homeschooling is my preferred choice, I don?t think it?s unreasonable for me to want to use that money to buy the books and schooling supplies needed to accomplish that task on my own.

HOWEVER!!!!!!.............

If you plan on taxing the shit outta me to pay for a bunch of Fraudian know-it-alls and utopian socialists to indoctrinate my kids into Godless, socialist, and communist ways of thinking, pay for special interest groups like the homos, the tree huggers, the baby killers, the feminazis, et al, and then make it harder for me to enjoy the freedoms granted to me by my maker and the founding fathers of my great nation.........

........THEN YOU CAN TAKE YOUR REDICULOUS COMMIE TAX CODE AND SHOVE IT RIGHT WHERE THE PROCTOLOGIST MAKES HIS LIVING!

BREAKING NEWS...

Killer Kitty Caught!

Madison, Wisconsin - Last night, Madison animal control officers and local police, in cooperation with the SPCA and PETA, apprehended the notorious Kitty ?Whiskers? Kat, Peterson family pet and long time member of the radical animal rights group ?Black Persians.? The anonymous tip on Whisker?s whereabouts came in yesterday afternoon not even 24 hours after the Wisconsin Conservation Congress voted to give hunters permission to kill cuddly critters like him due in part to the increase in the stray population and the numerous terrorist acts they carry out on a wide variety of small, helpless birds and animals. Proposal for the enactment of a bill aiming to eradicate this menacing problem came from La Crosse firefighter Mark Smith who told reporters that these "feral domestic cats? are essentially hardened criminals that kill ?millions of small mammals, song and game birds" every year, adding that the state of Wisconsin should classify these fearful felines as an unprotected species.

Once it was learned that criminal kitties were in danger of being targeted by far right-wing hunters and pro-gun fanatics, the SPCA and PETA mobilized to help bring Whiskers into custody to avoid having him become a victim of violent and radical vigilantism. When we contacted PETA for an official statement regarding their position on protecting the rights of ?feral domestic cats,? they neglected to return our calls. However, an ALCU (Animal Civil Liberties Union) attorney representing Whiskers made a brief statement claiming that their client?s due process rights were being violated. The lawyer said that ?if people hunted down and killed domestic dogs in this manner, they would be thrown in jail. Just because our client doesn?t have the ability of speech, he still is able to communicate with us. He is alert and aware of his surroundings. At one point he even made a meowing sound that closely resembled the words ?Help me.? A website named savekitty.com was created and a petition is now being circulated in the hopes of bringing this issue the national and international attention it demands. The inhumane euthanasia of stray cats by gun-toting Nazis and brownshirts from the NRA must be stopped!? When asked if they were in this for the long haul there assured us that if need be, they would take the fight all the way to the Supreme Court.

Demonstrators began forming outside the Dane County SCPA this morning where Whiskers was reportedly being held. Those in support of saving the animal from a horrible death by gunshot were carrying Bibles, gathering into prayer groups, singing songs of freedom and holding up placards reading ?Let Kitty Live.? On the other side of the street, counter-protesters arrived in pick-up trucks wearing blue jeans, flannel shirts, work boots, baseball caps and holstered side arms. They proceeded to pace the roadside carrying American flags and holding signs that read ?Let Kitty Die,? ?Cats Are Killers? and ?Hunters Are Nature?s Great Equalizers.? As the tensions grew, police officers had to be called in to keep the peace. Several times throughout the day, the police had to arrest young children attempting to enter the facility. They appeared to be sent in by the hunters to pose as loving children looking to adopt a pet. Once inside they could attempt to set the animal free thereby essentially making him fair game for hunting. When police noticed that the children were wearing camouflaged flannel shirts, Cabela's baseball caps and muddy boots, they rushed to apprehend them and lead them away in handcuffs.

Wisconsin Governor Jim Doyle originally indicated that if a cat-hunting bill passed through the state legislature, he would likely sign it into law, but then later came out to express his doubts about the plan. This drew ire from the SPCA, PETA and the ACLU. ?The government has no business passing down death sentences on innocent kitties. We expect our elected officials to protect life and provide every domestic animal with equal rights,? said an unnamed protester claiming to be affiliated with PETA. ?How would the politicians like it if they were abandoned by their owners, forced to live off the land for survival and then be hunted down like a violent criminal? It?s just not fair!? Geraldo Rivera showed up this afternoon with a camera crew looking to cover the ordeal. Bill O'reilly is looking to do a segment devoted to the story on his popular evening show. The Vatican also gave some defense for the cat claiming that even Saint Francis of Assisi showed tremendous love for animals as they were all part of God?s creation. Even Rush Limbaugh (know cat owner) has come out in support of Whiskers. While not mentioning him by name, Rush voiced his concern that allowing these feline mercy killings would be akin to sliding down a slippery slope. A commonly used leftist polling group surveyed the usual cross section of inner city low income minorities and found that 89% of those interviewed feel that ?poppin? a cap in Kitty?s ass? was not a ?phat? thing for folks to be doing. Word has it that even some members of the US Congress were considering stepping in with legislation aimed at saving Kitty?s life, but given the fact that the laws they come up with are routinely shot down by activist federal judiciaries, they?ve gotta wonder why they would even bother getting involved in the first place.

JP2... a tough act to follow!

Now that the Holy Father has been laid to rest, the world turns its attention upon the College of Cardinals as they prepare to elect a new Pope, but who could possibly fill the void left by such a great man as John Paul II. He fought and struggled delivering the message of God?s love to every corner of the earth, he rekindled faith and hope amongst the world?s youth, he broke the back of the Soviet empire and stood his ground on issues of morality in the face of modern liberalism. At his passing, the whole world seemed to cry out for his immediate canonization. Albeit impossible for any man to walk in the shoes of this super hero of Christendom, we need to understand that the next successor of Saint Peter will have to bear the weight of a very heavy cross indeed. The positive momentum established by John Paul II will need to be maintained throughout the next pontificate if this world is to ever rid itself of the evil in society made commonplace by the culture of death.

Today, the streets are a buzz with speculation on who will be chosen as our next pope and without the slightest bit of shame, liberal reformationists along with their cohorts in the MSM have slithered out from under their rocks in an attempt to persuade the world into believing that the Roman Catholic Church needs to catch up with modern times. While spending the past week listening in on various news reports and talk shows covering the Pope?s death, a very distinct pattern became clear:

First, since it was evident that the whole world was mourning the loss of a great man - religious or not, the MSM was determined to cover the story and routinely utter various pleasantries befitting a king specifically for the purpose of maintaining their ratings. At times the soft spoken reporting seemed a bit surreal as they hailed the Holy Father for his ability to touch so many lives and be such a great advocate of peace. This, coming from the same MSM that for years has been on a campaign to smear the RC Church portraying its dogma as antiquated and dismissing its moral teachings as hypocritical in the face of the sexual abuse scandals. Secondly, the MSM purposefully made a point of highlighting doctrinal dissention from liberal groups like Voice of the Faithful, making it appear as if their leftist views were prevalent throughout the whole Church. With John Paul II gone, they see an opportunity for change by swaying public opinion into thinking that by modernizing the Church it would somehow result in broader acceptance of its overall mission. What the MSM fails to realize is that unlike American Presidential elections, the Papal election is not decided by focus groups, soap box rhetoric, polling or partisan spin. With the exception of changes brought about by the Second Vatican Council, the Roman Catholic Church will likely remain steadfast to its 2000 years of traditional moral teachings. Well, for the sake of the Church?s future, we had better hope so.

!!! ACTION ALERT !!!

I've gotta take a moment here and give a major thumbs up to the folks down in Arizona serving in the Minuteman border watch group. Their efforts are without a doubt the most commendable display of patriotism short of joining up to serve in our country?s military. Since the idiots we elected to represent us in Washington are obviously too afraid of loosing the support of the Latin American vote (now larger than the black vote), we?ve been left with no other choice but to take personal action in order to stop what has got to be the biggest breach of our nation?s security. Since 9/11, the citizens of this country have been screaming for our government to lock down our borders so as to prevent any more of our enemies from entering the United States illegally with the intent of creating mass casualties. Also, without formally joining our country?s economic machine or properly assimilating themselves into our society, the burden on our country?s resources becomes too unbearable for us manage. According the Federation for American Immigration Reform (FAIR), illegal immigration is costing American taxpayers tens of billions of dollars every year!

Like others of you out there, I am disgusted with the non-action of our government (many Republicans included) on this disturbing issue. For decades our elected officials have turned a blind eye toward the problem of illegal immigration and every day it puts us deeper in debt and puts us further and further at risk of another terrorist attack. Not surprisingly though, the radical left along with those in achedimia and the MSM continue to fight for their socialist utopian agenda. They have publicly denounced the efforts of concerned citizens like those involved in the Minuteman group and have implemented a vicious campaign of smear attacks aimed at derailing the public?s view of their message which is that the issue of illegal immigration is our number one priority above all else with regard to our national security. Additionally, I find it extremely appalling that Mexico ? eternally pissed since we kicked Santa Anna?s butt back in the 1800s ? has been on a campaign of subversion against our country and our sovereignty for its own political and economic gain. They view the United States as nothing more than a fat meal ticket for which they can subsidize their failed system of economic socialism.

So what is to become of the valiant attempts of concerned citizens like those of the Minuteman watch group? Well, so far I haven?t heard much of anything out of Washington. The President continues to assert that our border is no place for "vigilantism," Congress continues dragging its feet on the issue and the State Department is giving no clear indication that anything significant will be done until 2008! More and more lip service continues to come from those we?ve elected who have sworn to protect us and uphold our Constitution. Despite the apparent success of the Minutemen?s non-interventionist presence on our southern borders, our government keeps refusing to provide the additional resources needed to protect our country at its most vulnerable points of entry. Much more needs to be done and Washington needs to know that we mean business. We cannot afford to have this problem continue another minute longer! Grassfire.org has started a petition in the attempt to hammer down on this issue before it is too late. Please add your signature to their list of concerned and outraged citizens. Our economy, our security and our sovereignty are paramount to our future survival as a free and peaceful nation!

Cucumbers are for salads!

Why is it that so many Liberals have such a problem accepting truth as a remedy for fixing a social problem? It?s like trying to feed brussel sprouts to a spoiled child who?s been raised on junk food. While the child might well know the truth that brussel sprouts are healthier for them than the junk food, they protest because the junk food is more fun for them to eat. Now here?s the irony; with so many clean environment, organic food promoting, health conscious Liberals out there, why are they so opposed to promoting verified methods of positive sexual health?

With the onset of the sexual revolution during the 1960s, unwanted pregnancies and sexually transmitted disease rose dramatically. Before long the market was flooded with various forms of sexual contraception and by the 1970s, the feminist movement had jumped full swing into action seeking liberation for the sexually active woman. The sexual revolution peaked when their efforts resulted in the 1973 Supreme Court decision in Roe v. Wade, making it legal for women to murder their children in utero. Since then, STDs have developed and mutated into deadly incurable diseases, contraceptive devices have proved to be an ineffective means of protection, unplanned birth rates have risen, the age of kids having sex and getting pregnant has lowered into early and pre-pubescent years and since 1973 more than 30,000,000 unwanted children were murdered by the now-legal abortion industry.

Another major contributing factor in this perverted revolution has been the continual loosening of sexual moral values. As if by popular demand, the entertainment industry, seeking to capitalize on the growing fascination with such taboo topics, began increasing the frequency and intensity of on-screen lewdness until today where casual sex with multiple partners, deviant sex acts and homosexuality have become common place in the television and cinema mediums. Over the past 15 years, the internet age has blossomed into a virtual cornucopia of every sexual indulgence available to just about anyone with access to a computer. In the late ?90s, our then ?good-time rock-n-roller? President BJ Clinton made international news, being exposed for engaging in extramarital oral sex with a young White House intern. As if that wasn?t bad enough, he was then found in contempt for lying about it before a Federal Grand Jury which resulted in his impeachment. When questioned under oath about his immoral activity, he ?blew? off the act as not being the same as ?sexual relations? by intercourse involving vaginal penetration.

Fast forward to 2005 where a recent study showed that a survey of children around 14 years old found that 20 percent claimed they?ve had engaged in oral sex, compared to 14 percent who said they had engaged in sexual intercourse. What is frighteningly disturbing here is that the study found the practice of oral sex as ?an activity that some adolescents view as not sex at all and certainly less risky than intercourse.? Way to go Slick Willy! Now we get to reap what you?ve sown.

In the attempt to swing the moral pendulum back in the opposite direction, reduce the out-of-control abortion rate and stave off a possible STD epidemic, President Bush has implemented an abstinence education policy aimed at our country?s youth. Rightly so, by abstaining from all sexual activity until marriage you virtually eliminate any possibility of contracting STDs and completely avoid the risk of dealing with an unplanned pregnancy. This method of sex education removes the individual from potential harm, teaches them the value of self respect and dignity and provides them with a level of protection not available in any contraception on the market today. As part of this new effort The Department of the Health and Human Services (HHS) published a website called 4parents.gov which offers numerous statistics validating my previous claims and encourages the involvement of parents communicating with their children about these realities.

Apparently, or should I say ?obviously,? the Liberals are having a hissy-fit over the Bush administrations new sexual education policies. Once again they are threatened by truth and have come out in a forceful showing of opposition. As reported in a recent AP story, the ACLU, the NEA and gay-rights activist groups are now demanding that the government?s new web site be taken down claiming that the government needs to address teenagers who are already sexually active, homosexual, or who?ve been sexually abused. WHAT? How dare the government tell those kids not to have sex! The way I see it, the Liberals need to stop pushing their sick sense of values on our children. Kids need to be taught the truth, they need to learn to respect themselves and they need a healthy fear of sexual realities and consequences. Additionally, if the public schools would only follow suit, they could finally stop teaching kids that condoms were made for cucumbers.

Ughhhh!

First of all, I?ve gotta say that it?s been a very draining Easter season for me so far. After the holiday, I came down with a virus which tore my whole system down and it wasn?t the usual 24 hour bug that I?ve experienced several times in the past. I won?t get into the specifics so as to spare you the ugly details, but I will say that I felt pretty much like William Wallace did when he was being disemboweled by the executioner as depicted in the movie ?Braveheart.? I missed a lot of work and as a result I used up a lot of that precious sick time. On my way to the doctor?s office last Thursday, I learned of Terri Schindler?s death which only added to my pain. Although I was sadly anticipating the inevitable in that frightful situation, nothing could have prepared me for the sadness I was to experience just 48 hours later. Regardless, for the past few weeks I?ve been so focused on Terri?s fight plight that I haven?t given much attention to other matters which frustrate me to no apparent end and hopefully over the next few weeks I can make up for some lost time.

In tribute to Pope John Paul II...

Between 1930 and 1938 Christ appeared to Sister Maria Faustina Kowalska of Poland to ensure us of His love even unto death, and His disappointment in us because of our distrust in His Mercy and goodness. The first apparition of the Merciful Christ occurred on the 22nd of February, 1931 in Plotzk, Poland. As Sister Faustina recalls: "It happened in the evening. I was in my cell, when I saw Jesus dressed in a white garment. He held one hand raised in blessing and with the other He was touching the garment at the breast. From under the garment came two rays of light, one red the other pale. In silence I contemplated the Lord. My soul was filled with fear and, at the same time, with great joy. After a moment Jesus said to me: 'Paint a picture according to the vision you see and with the inscription: ? Jesus, I Trust in Thee ? I desire that the picture be venerated first in your chapel and then throughout the whole world'." "These rays (red and pale, symbolizing the Blood and Water that gushed forth from the Sacred Heart) shield the soul before the wrath of My Father. Fortunate is he who lives in Their shelter for the just hand of God will never reach him."

On September 13, 1935, Sister Faustina saw an angel, depicted to her as the executor of God's Wrath. In his hands were lightning bolts and thunder. She understood the angel was about to visit a certain place on earth and mete out punishment to its inhabitants. Our Divine Savior had made Sister Faustina's heart after His own merciful one, and she was sorrowful and begged the angel for mercy. But somehow she realized that her poor prayers were without power to appease the wrath of God. Then suddenly the Holy Trinity was manifested, and at the same time the sister heard these words: "Eternal Father, I offer Thee the Body and Blood, Soul and Divinity of Thy Most Beloved Son and Our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ, in atonement for our sins and the sins of the whole world." Wonder of wonders, as she repeated the words over and over, the angel was powerless to mete out the punishment. The next day while going into chapel she heard once again: "As many times as you enter the chapel, immediately recite the prayer I taught you yesterday." She recited it at once and the voice spoke again: "This prayer is given to appease the Wrath of God. You will recite it for nine days on the usual part of the Rosary (five decades) in the following manner: First you will say the Our Father, the Hail Mary and the Creed. Then on the larger beads you will recite the prayer, 'Eternal Father, I offer Thee the Body and Blood, Soul and Divinity of Thy Most Beloved Son and Our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ, in atonement for our sins and the sins of the whole world,' and the smaller beads, 'Through His most sorrowful passion have mercy on us and on the whole world.' In conclusion you will say three times: 'Holy God, Holy Omnipotent, Holy Immortal, have mercy on us and on the world.'"

As Sister Faustina predicted, a time would come where her visions and Christ?s message would not be accepted. On the 6th March 1959, the Vatican prohibited "the spreading of images and writings advocating devotion to the Divine Mercy in the form proposed by Sister Faustina," because of incoherent translation of her diary and inaccurately presented testimony. For nearly twenty years the Church remained silent on Sister Faustina?s revelations until one day when the Archbishop of her home diocese in Poland set out to conduct a thorough investigation of the matter and on April 15, 1978 convinced the Holy See to reverse their ban on veneration of Sister Faustina?s proclamation of Christ?s Divine Mercy. Six months later on October 16, 1978, that very same Archbishop was proclaimed the new Vicar of Christ and leader of the entire Catholic Church.

On April 18, 1993, the Holy Father beatified Sister Maria Faustina Kowalska. During his general audience that following day, Pope John Paul II said, "God has spoken to us through the spiritual wealth of Blessed Sister Faustina Kowalska. She left to the world the great message of Divine Mercy and an incentive to complete self-surrender to the Creator. God endowed her with a singular grace that enabled her to experience His mercy through mystical encounter and by a special gift of contemplative prayer. Blessed Sister Faustina, thank you for reminding the world of that great mystery of Divine Mercy; that 'startling mystery', that inexpressive mystery of the Father, which today every individual and the whole world need so very much." On April 30, 2000, the first Sunday following Easter in St. Peter's Square in Rome, Pope John Paul II canonized Sister Faustina, elevating her to Sainthood.

Today, being the first Sunday following Easter, Catholics around the world celebrate the Feast of Christ?s Divine Mercy. With the passing of His Holiness, Pope John Paul II on the eve of this blessed day of celebration, I believe it would honor him greatly if today we remember to recite the Chaplet of the Divine Mercy.

HOLY FATHER

You have brought light into a darkened world, you have been our steadfast voice of morality and peace, you have stood strong upon the rock of St. Peter and you have stared down the face of evil. As you pass into the loving arms of our Savior, Jesus Christ and continue to watch over us from the foot of His thrown be assured that we will always remember you for your unquenchable love for God, your incredible devotion to His Mother, Mary and for your stewardship of His lowly servants on earth.

As for me, I will always remember you as...
