...oh, BTW, Manbearpig isn't real either.

Back in January, when the Northeast was getting pummeled with snow storms and bone-chilling arctic air on a weekly basis, the Baron of Bullshit came out and, in a vain attempt to salvage his Nobel prize wining reputation, proclaimed that global warming was the cause of all this crazy winter weather...

Al Gore Explains 'Snowmageddon'
By Gene J. Koprowski
Published February 03, 2011 | FoxNews.com

If the planet is warming, why is a third of America locked in a deep freeze, with record-low temperatures as far south as the Mexican border, where the thermometer in Ciudad Juarez plummeted Wednesday night to a bone-chilling 9-below zero?

Self-proclaimed planetary climate czar Al Gore thinks he has answer.

"As it turns out, the scientific community has been addressing this particular question for some time now, and they say increased heavy snowfalls are completely consistent with what they have been predicting as a consequence of man-made global warming," Gore write in a blog post. The Nobel Prize-winning former vice president was responding to a question posed by Fox News’ Bill O’Reilly, who wondered on air why global warming was such an urgent science policy priority when the New York City area had become a “tundra” this winter.

Gore also indicated that he believes a rise in global temperatures is creating “all sorts of havoc,” from hotter dry spells to colder winters and ever more violent storms. This is even endangering certain species of animals and leading to forest fires and floods.

One week later, the Twentieth Century Reanalysis Project released their findings from a study they did using a supercomputer to analyze global weather data recorded over the past 140 years, essentially debunking most of what Al Gore now claims...

The Weather Isn't Getting Weirder
The latest research belies the idea that storms are getting more extreme.
By ANNE JOLIS

FEBRUARY 10, 2011

Last week a severe storm froze Dallas under a sheet of ice, just in time to disrupt the plans of the tens of thousands of (American) football fans descending on the city for the Super Bowl. On the other side of the globe, Cyclone Yasi slammed northeastern Australia, destroying homes and crops and displacing hundreds of thousands of people.

Some climate alarmists would have us believe that these storms are yet another baleful consequence of man-made CO2 emissions. In addition to the latest weather events, they also point to recent cyclones in Burma, last winter's fatal chills in Nepal and Bangladesh, December's blizzards in Britain, and every other drought, typhoon and unseasonable heat wave around the world.

But is it true? To answer that question, you need to understand whether recent weather trends are extreme by historical standards. The Twentieth Century Reanalysis Project is the latest attempt to find out, using super-computers to generate a dataset of global atmospheric circulation from 1871 to the present.

As it happens, the project's initial findings, published last month, show no evidence of an intensifying weather trend. "In the climate models, the extremes get more extreme as we move into a doubled CO2 world in 100 years," atmospheric scientist Gilbert Compo, one of the researchers on the project, tells me from his office at the University of Colorado, Boulder. "So we were surprised that none of the three major indices of climate variability that we used show a trend of increased circulation going back to 1871."

In other words, researchers have yet to find evidence of more-extreme weather patterns over the period, contrary to what the models predict. "There's no data-driven answer yet to the question of how human activity has affected extreme weather," adds Roger Pielke Jr., another University of Colorado climate researcher.

We do know that carbon dioxide and other gases trap and re-radiate heat. We also know that humans have emitted ever-more of these gases since the Industrial Revolution. What we don't know is exactly how sensitive the climate is to increases in these gases versus other possible factors—solar variability, oceanic currents, Pacific heating and cooling cycles, planets' gravitational and magnetic oscillations, and so on.

Given the unknowns, it's possible that even if we spend trillions of dollars, and forgo trillions more in future economic growth, to cut carbon emissions to pre-industrial levels, the climate will continue to change—as it always has.

Despite the environmental rhetoric of leftist politicians who are trying desperately to control the flow of the world's wealth by proclaiming the sky is falling, the proof is in the pudding. I find it analogous to the way that Obama says that the government must spend our tax dollars in order to get control of our debt. In other words, folks; it just ain't happenin'! They can talk it up, skew the numbers and try to fool the people all they want, but in the end, only truth will set us free.

AGAIN, OBAMACARE DECLARED UNCONSTITUTIONAL!!!

...and this time, it's whole damned thing!!!

BREAKING: Federal judge rules Obamacare unconstitutional
By: Mark Hemingway
San Francisco Examiner
01/31/11 12:06 PM

The full text of the decision from Federal Judge Roger Vinson is not available yet, but according to reporters who've seen the decision, he's ruled the entire Patient Protection and Affordable Care Act unconstitutional. The ruling favors of the 26 state attorney generals challenging the law. The judge ruled the individual mandate that requires all Americans to purchase health insurance invalid and, according to the decision, "because the individual mandate is unconstitutional and not severable, the entire Act must be declared void."

This ruling is even more significant than last month's ruling against Obamacare in Federal Court in Richmond, Virgina. This time, half of the entire country was represented in this suit, and also, the whole law has been found unconstitutional!!! Ultimately, the Supreme Court will likely have the final word on this piece of crap legislation, but so far, chances of it being relegated to the dust bin of history are looking very good!!!

***Keep paying, folks! It ain't over yet!***

...and you thought the Mafia were crooks?

This video, posted by my Conservative Facebook friend, Ryan D. Hatch, lays out an explanation of the Federal Reserve Bank, its function, its history, and its relentless strangle-hold on individual freedom in the most straight-forward and easy to understand terms possible. This is NOT right wing propaganda, but Factual Economic History 101. Every child should be taught this material in school and know it as a requirement for graduation.

Judge Calls Health Law Unconstitutional
By JANET ADAMY
The Wall Street Journal
DECEMBER 13, 2010, 5:16 P.M. ET

RICHMOND, Va.—A federal court ruled Monday that a central plank of the health law violates the Constitution, dealing the biggest setback yet to the Obama administration's signature legislative accomplishment.

In a 42-page ruling, U.S. District Judge Henry E. Hudson said the law's requirement that most Americans carry insurance or pay a penalty "exceeds the constitutional boundaries of congressional power."

The individual mandate "would invite unbridled exercise of federal police powers," wrote Judge Hudson, of the Eastern District of Virginia. "At its core, this dispute is not simply about regulating the business of insurance—or crafting a scheme of universal health insurance coverage—it's about an individual's right to choose to participate."

The lawsuit, brought by Virginia Attorney General Ken Cuccinelli, is the first court ruling against the law since President Barack Obama signed it in March. More than 20 federal lawsuits have been filed against the overhaul, and judges in two of those cases ruled in favor of the Obama administration.

While the ruling creates a headache for the law's supporters, it doesn't mean states or the federal government must stop implementing the law.

*snip*

Even though the fight isn't over to stop the federal government's takeover of the healthcare system - presently the greatest system in the world, it's about time a judge with common sense ruled that this nightmare called Obamacare was in fact unconstitutional. Seriously, WTF gives them the right to force me into buy anything against my will?!?! So he can rape my grandchildren's future in order to pay for this bureaucratic monstrosity?!?!?! I realize that this is going to end up being decided by the Supreme Court, but why was this crap allowed to even be signed into law in the first place??? Hopefully SCOTUS will support this lower court's ruling that the federal government has no right to impose individual mandates for health care coverage and if that's the case, then Obamacare will fall apart completely because without the ability to penalize taxpayers for not having health care coverage, there won't be enough money available to sustain the program.

Keep praying, folks... keep praying!

It's the economy, stupid!

Obama's lack of constitutional eligibility to serve as POTUS aside, the single most criminal act of this president and his enablers is their brazen determination to torpedo our domestic and international economic superiority through unconstitutional executive, legislative and judicial fiat. Throughout our nation's history, we have proven over and over again that the driving force behind our strength and prosperity has been our system of unrestrained free market enterprise. Government controlled socialist bureaucracies combined with burdensome taxation policies inevitably lead to clipping unemployment, authoritarian dependence, intellectual slavery and runaway entitlement mentality. For years the Chinese have known that they would be unable to defeat us due to this fact alone. Unrestrained innovation and ability to produce wealth has enabled us to achieve what China and the Soviet Union has been unable to accomplish through decades of communist control. By rendering our Constitution impotent through a process of progressive policies, the leadership of this country is condemning us to absolute failure and destruction. In all honesty, impeachment and censure for criminals such as these would be too light a punishment for such treason.

Climategate U-turn as scientist at centre of row admits: There has been no global warming since 1995

* Data for vital 'hockey stick graph' has gone missing
* There has been no global warming since 1995
* Warming periods have happened before - but NOT due to man-made changes

The academic at the centre of the ‘Climategate’ affair, whose raw data is crucial to the theory of climate change, has admitted that he has trouble ‘keeping track’ of the information.

Colleagues say that the reason Professor Phil Jones has refused Freedom of Information requests is that he may have actually lost the relevant papers.

Professor Jones told the BBC yesterday there was truth in the observations of colleagues that he lacked organisational skills, that his office was swamped with piles of paper and that his record keeping is ‘not as good as it should be’.

The data is crucial to the famous ‘hockey stick graph’ used by climate change advocates to support the theory.

Professor Jones also conceded the possibility that the world was warmer in medieval times than now – suggesting global warming may not be a man-made phenomenon.

And he said that for the past 15 years there has been no ‘statistically significant’ warming...

You know what amazes me even more than the absolute arrogance and determination of the Obama administration to combat AGW by taxing carbon emissions? It's the fact that the most outspoken critics in the media against this ridiculous hoax are from the same country where PM Margaret Thatcher started this lie about "global warming" in the first place back in 1988 in order to turn public sentiment against the striking coal miner's union! AND SHE WAS A LEADER OF THE CONSERVATIVE PARTY!!!

Ok, I think I've had enough confusion to last me a lifetime. Screw this, I'm going to bed.

Well, all I gotta say is that we are sooooooo lucky to have such intelligent and responsible elected officials in Washington who would never even think about increasing taxes on gasoline and heating oil and other petroleum based sources of energy. I'm positive they know what effect that would have on our economy and the ability of folks to afford to stay warm in the coming ice age... right? ...I mean, right? RIGHT?!?!

Obama's 2011 Budget Tax Hikes Contradict Focus on Job Creation

Wall Street Journal Online
By CURTIS S. DUBAY
From the Heritage Foundation
FEBRUARY 5, 2010, 5:20 P.M. ET

President Obama has said his number one goal for 2010 is to create jobs, but the abundance of tax increases in his recently released 2011 budget contradict this objective.

Higher taxes on businesses, upper-income taxpayers, and fossil fuels; an increased death tax; and new taxes to pay for health care would destroy jobs and slow economic recovery. Congress should reject these higher taxes and the rest of its business-killing agenda to speed economic growth and encourage job creation...

*snip*

The tax increases proposed in the budget break down into six broad categories:

1. Higher Taxes on Businesses...

*snip*

2. Higher Taxes on Upper-Income Earners...

*snip*

3. Death Tax Increase...

*snip*

4. Higher Energy Taxes. The budget increases taxes on oil, gas, and coal companies by repealing several tax credits available to these businesses.

These energy companies would undoubtedly pass these tax increases on to customers in the form of higher prices, which will increase costs across the entire economy. And higher taxes on energy would act as yet another deterrent to job creation, since they increase the cost of doing business, which includes hiring new workers and retaining existing ones.

5. Health Care Taxes...

*snip*

6. Other Taxes. The budget includes several other tax increases, including taxing carried interest as regular income, closing the tax gap through stricter enforcement, more taxes on businesses, and making the unemployment insurance surtax permanent.

This long list of tax increases shows that the Administration is desperate for revenue and looking under every rock to squeeze more and more money out of individual taxpayers and businesses...

The great global warming collapse

In 2007, the most comprehensive report to date on global warming, issued by the respected United Nations Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change, made a shocking claim: The Himalayan glaciers could melt away as soon as 2035.

These glaciers provide the headwaters for Asia's nine largest rivers and lifelines for the more than one billion people who live downstream. Melting ice and snow would create mass flooding, followed by mass drought. The glacier story was reported around the world. Last December, a spokesman for the World Wildlife Fund, an environmental pressure group, warned, “The deal reached at Copenhagen will have huge ramifications for the lives of hundreds of millions of people who are already highly vulnerable due to widespread poverty.” To dramatize their country's plight, Nepal's top politicians strapped on oxygen tanks and held a cabinet meeting on Mount Everest.

But the claim was rubbish, and the world's top glaciologists knew it. It was based not on rigorously peer-reviewed science but on an anecdotal report by the WWF itself. When its background came to light on the eve of Copenhagen, Rajendra Pachauri, the head of the IPCC, shrugged it off. But now, even leading scientists and environmental groups admit the IPCC is facing a crisis of credibility that makes the Climategate affair look like small change.

“The global warming movement as we have known it is dead,” the brilliant analyst Walter Russell Mead says in his blog on The American Interest. It was done in by a combination of bad science and bad politics...

That's all well and good, but if you think it's going to change policy in Washington, you don't know the progressive movement behind the modern Democrat party.

It appears that human life does have a price after all...

Sen. Ben Nelson announces support for health-care bill
By Shailagh Murray and Lori Montgomery

Sen. Ben Nelson (Neb.), the final Democratic holdout on health care, announced to his caucus Saturday morning that he would support the Senate reform bill, clearing the way for final passage by Christmas.

"We're there," said Sen. Kent Conrad (D-N.D.), as he headed into a special meeting to outline the deal.

Democratic leaders spent days trying to hammer out a deal with Nelson, and worked late Friday night with him on abortion coverage language that had proved the major stumbling block. Nelson also secured other favors for his home state.

Under the new abortion provisions, states can opt out of allowing plans to cover abortion in insurance exchanges the bill would set up to serve individuals who don't have employer coverage. Plus, enrollees in plans that do cover abortion procedures would pay for the coverage with separate checks - one for abortion, one for rest of health-care services.

Nelson secured full federal funding for his state to expand Medicaid coverage to all individuals below 133 percent of the federal poverty level. Other states must pay a small portion of the additional cost. He won concessions for qualifying nonprofit insurers and for Medigap providers from a new insurance tax. He also was able to roll back cuts to health savings accounts.

"I know this is hard for some of my colleagues to accept and I appreciate their right to disagree," Nelson told reporters at the Capitol, of the many changes made at his behest. "But I would not have voted for this bill without these provisions."

With Nelson on board, Senate Majority Leader Harry M. Reid unveiled the final version of a sweeping overhaul of the nation's health insurance system that would expand coverage to an additional 31 million Americans, coming closer to attaining the Democrats' long sought goal of universal medical coverage.
