Well, yesterday was quite a day. The response to our call to action has been overwhelming. We have almost 100,000 signatures on our letter challenging Obama's flawed policy of trying the terrorists/war criminals who murdered our family & friends on September 11, 2001 in civilian federal courts.

The signatures include our many families of the victims of September 11, 2001 as well as many from the FDNY, NYPD and PAPD and retired military. But most of the signatures are from proud Americans who are as disgusted as we are with this abomination. We are organizing all the information and we will post all the signatures on Monday.

Those who were most directly affected by the 9-11 terrorist attacks on America are speaking out against the ignorance of USAG Eric Holder and the Obama administration for bringing Khalid Sheikh Mohammed - foreign mastermind of the worst mass murder on American soil - to Federal Court, essentially giving him the same Constitutional rights and privileges reserved for those who are citizenry of this country. Best "Dear John" Letter... Ever!

Here's another great email I found in my inbox:

A marine stationed in Afghanistan recently received a "Dear John" letter from his girlfriend back home...



The Marine, with his feelings hurt, asked his fellow Marines for any snapshots they could spare of their girlfriends, sisters, ex-girlfriends, aunts, female cousins, etc. In addition to the picture of his girlfriend Becky, Ricky included all the other pictures of the pretty gals he had collected from his buddies. There were 57 photos in the envelope along with the following note...

This image was taken back in mid October. Two weeks and two frosts later, all the leaves all turned and were blown off the trees from heavy rain and wind. So much for Autumn colors :(

I've had it sitting an a "things to post" directory which I totally forgot about. Hanging up in the Shawangunks is one of the few things I truly enjoy about living around here.

As a side note, not to be outdone were the snaps I took of the valley back in 2007.

Happy 234th to the USMC!

On November 10th, 1775, the Continental Marines were formed as the land combat wing of the United States Naval Forces during the American Revolutionary War. They have since been the primary forward deployment forces of nearly all our military engagements.

I have several family members who are either active duty or retired Leathernecks, and the devotion of each to their country and to the Corps is absolutely remarkable.

When I heard about the terrible events at Fort Hood, like many others, I knew it had to be the work of a terrorist. Then, when the media took so long to report the name of the gunman, I knew it had to be a name associated with the "religion of peace." Big shock to learn that my suspicions were correct. Two days later the UK Telegraph releases this...

Hasan, the sole suspect in the massacre of 13 fellow US soldiers in Texas, attended the controversial Dar al-Hijrah mosque in Great Falls, Virginia, in 2001 at the same time as two of the September 11 terrorists, The Sunday Telegraph has learnt. His mother's funeral was held there in May that year.

The preacher at the time was Anwar al-Awlaki, an American-born Yemeni scholar who was banned from addressing a meeting in London by video link in August because he is accused of supporting attacks on British troops and backing terrorist organisations.

Hasan's eyes "lit up" when he mentioned his deep respect for al-Awlaki's teachings, according to a fellow Muslim officer at the Fort Hood base in Texas, the scene of Thursday's horrific shooting spree.

As investigators look at Hasan's motives and mindset, his attendance at the mosque could be an important piece of the jigsaw. Al-Awlaki moved to Dar al-Hijrah as imam in January, 2001, from the west coast, and three months later the September 11 hijackers Nawaf al-Hamzi and Hani Hanjour began attending his services. A third hijacker attended his services in California.

Hasan was praying at Dar al-Hijrah at about the same time, and the FBI will now want to investigate whether he met the two terrorists....

So, here's my deep thought question of the day: Aside from the fact that we have a communist illegal alien in the White House, why is the military allowing political correctness to dictate policy when it comes to monitoring the behaviors of Muslims within the ranks? Better question yet: Why hasn't the DOJ or the CIA infiltrated the mosques in this country to find out who within the "religion of peace" on our soil is naughty or nice? My spidey senses are telling me that if those who are charged with the task of protecting us from Islamo-Fascists are being pussified by political correctness, the terrorist attack at Fort Hood is only a precursor of events to come.

Ghosts of prom dates past...

In the spring of 1988, just before I started dating my future wife, I was in the midst of the most rebellious phase of my life. I was very much into the hardcore punk scene. Nothing came close to the emotion one experienced being with lots of people crammed into a small space, listening to the thunderous sounds of a NYHC band, moshing around in a circle and releasing all pent-up frustrations in a furious explosion of energy. I can remember all the times having to go down to the city just to find hardcore albums and see shows that were otherwise unavailable up here - short of the venues that played in Middletown, NY at a makeshift music hall called "The Grunge Club." For a while, I used to hang out with a group called Affirmative Action who practiced and played there with other local bands before Mark Johnson began organizing headline events. Before that, we used to just call the place "The Warehouse", because thats what it was; a old warehouse with it's entrance being down an alleyway and up a fire escape - a freaking block away from the police station! The place was totally illegit for breaking fire code and in order to skirt the liqueur laws for the kegs, they sold empty cups for $5 a piece. It became a major hangout as more and more local underground bands formed and needed a decent place to jam-out.

Up here in Orange County, there were only a handful of girls who were into the scene. From what I found this far out of NYC, hardcore punk was mostly a guy thing. However, there was one girl who broke the mold. Christine O'Dwyer was a free spirit if I had ever known one. No one could ever hope to put her in a box and she was definitely no follower of passing fashionable trends. She was what you might consider a little hard around the edges, but she was still very much a beautiful girl... and I had the privilege of escorting her to the 1988 Monroe-Woodbury Senior Prom! In honor of such an occasion, I decked out in black tux, combat boots, Gunnery Sergeant chevron lapel pins and a safety pin w/ razor blade earing. Not to brag, but we looked damned good together that night.



It wouldn't be much of a stretch for me to say that we stood out a bit. Not like I gave a shit or anything. The food sucked and the music was DEFINITELY not to my taste, but we had a good time none-the-less. BTW, I was not the only guy there wearing combat boots that evening. Another friend of ours named Max wore his as well. I can't remember if Chris wore her Doc Martens or not. I think she did. Alzheimer's disease must be setting in. Maybe she'll remind me if she ever decides to take the time and read this post. With two other friends, we left the prom and crashed in a hotel room for the night. The next day the four of us took off down to Seaside Heights, NJ to hang out for the rest of the weekend.

After Chris graduated, she took off to California and I only saw her once more after that when she came back to visit in the early '90s. I missed her very much. We had lots of fun hanging out. I was happy to have recently found her on Facebook. She's back living in Monroe now and I hope that someday soon we can get together and bullshit over old times and a couple of cold beers.

Since way back when I started my jukebox, I've been meaning to get around to doing something and this occasion has given me an excuse for doing so. I dug out a shit-load of my old albums and tapes from storage and digitized some of my favorite hardcore tracks for your listening enjoyment.

Listening to that old stuff brings back lots of memories. For nostalgic effect, I even pulled out my old leather jacket, suspenders and combat boots - the same ones I wore on the night of that prom - just to contemplate how it was that I survived those times. Uh-oh, the jacket don't fit, I must've gained a few pounds... LMFAO!!! The boots fit but they're way too stiff for stompage.

Anyway, that's a little glimpse into my wild past. It's amazing how things change in 20 years. Back then, I didn't think I'd make it to 35 and here I am working on the big five-oh. ...holy crap!

History 101

For those that don't know about history ... Here is a condensed version:

Humans originally existed as members of small bands of nomadic hunters/gatherers.. They lived on deer in the mountains during the summer and would go to the coast and live on fish and lobster in the winter.

The two most important events in all of history were the invention of beer and the invention of the wheel. The wheel was invented to get man to the beer. These were the foundations of modern civilization and together were the catalyst for the splitting of humanity into two distinct subgroups:

1. Liberals, and
2. Conservatives.

Once beer was discovered, it required grain and that was the beginning of agriculture. Neither the glass bottle nor aluminum can were invented yet, so while our early humans were sitting around waiting for them to be invented, they just stayed close to the brewery. That's how villages were formed.

Some men spent their days tracking and killing animals to B-B-Q at night while they were drinking beer. This was the beginning of what is known as the Conservative movement.

Other men who were weaker and less skilled at hunting learned to live off the conservatives by showing up for the nightly B-B-Q's and doing the sewing, fetching, and hair dressing. This was the beginning of the Liberal movement.

Some of these liberal men eventually evolved into women. Those became known as girlie-men. Some noteworthy liberal achievements include the domestication of cats, the invention of group therapy, group hugs, and the concept of Democrat voting to decide how to divide the meat and beer that conservatives provided.

Over the years conservatives came to be symbolized by the largest, most powerful land animal on earth, the elephant. Liberals are symbolized by the jackass.

Modern liberals like imported beer (with lime added), but most prefer white wine or imported bottled water. They eat raw fish but like their beef well done. Sushi, tofu, and French food are standard liberal fare. Another interesting evolutionary side note: most of their women have higher testosterone levels than their men. Most social workers, personal injury attorneys, politicians, bureaucrats, journalists, dreamers in Hollywood and group therapists are liberals. Liberals invented the designated hitter rule because it wasn't fair to make the pitcher also bat.

Conservatives drink domestic beer, mostly Bud or Miller. They eat red meat and still provide for their women.. Conservatives are big game hunters, rodeo cowboys, lumberjacks, construction workers, firemen, medical doctors, engineers, corporate executives, athletes, members of the military, airline pilots and generally anyone who works productively.. Conservatives who own companies hire other conservatives who want to work for a living.

Liberals produce little or nothing. They like to govern the producers and decide what to do with the production. Liberals believe Europeans are more enlightened than Americans. That is why most of the liberals remained in Europe when conservatives were coming to America . They crept in after the Wild West was tamed and created a business of trying to get more for nothing..

Here ends today's lesson in world history:

It should be noted that a Liberal may have a momentary urge to angrily respond to the above before forwarding it.

A Conservative will simply laugh and be so convinced of the absolute truth of this history that it will be forwarded immediately to other true believers and to more liberals just to tick them off.

Calling Dr. Killjoy...

Late last night, a friend of mine emailed me a very troubling story...

ARE YOU KIDDING ME! THIS IS RIDICULOUS!

I had a former employee call me earlier today inquiring about a job, and at the end of the conversation he gave me his phone number. I asked the former employee if this was a new cell phone number and he told me yes this was his “Obama phone.” I asked him what an “Obama phone” was and he went on to say that welfare recipients are now eligible to receive (1) a FREE new phone and (2) approx 70 minutes of FREE minutes every month. I was a little skeptical so I Googled it and low and behold he was telling the truth. TAX PAYER MONEY IS BEING REDISTRIBUTED TO WELFARE RECIPIENTS FOR FREE CELL PHONES. This program was started earlier this year. Enough is enough, the ship is sinking and it’s sinking fast. The very foundations that this country was built on are being shaken. The age old concepts of God, family, and hard work have flown out the window and are being replaced with “Hope and Change” and “Change we can believe in.” You can click on the link below to read more about the “Obama phone”…just have a barf bag ready.

This was the first time I've heard of this, but my spidey senses were telling me that this was no bullshit. I did my own search on the interwebs to find more confirmation on this crap, and sure enough... it's right there for all to see. Not that I'd like give any special credence to these folks as a source of verification because of their obvious cover-up for an illegal immigrant president, but Snopes has an article that authenticates the program as REAL!!! Not only that, but - as expected - they did an awesome bang-up job fluffing it up as a "humanitarian" gesture by the US government concerned about the need for impoverished persons to have access to emergency communications.

Emergencies????????? *pththththththt!!!!!* ...yeah, right!

Universal Rejection!

Global Warming Petition Project

"We urge the United States government to reject the global warming agreement that was written in Kyoto, Japan in December, 1997, and any other similar proposals. The proposed limits on greenhouse gases would harm the environment, hinder the advance of science and technology, and damage the health and welfare of mankind.

"There is no convincing scientific evidence that human release of carbon dioxide, methane, or other greenhouse gasses is causing or will, in the foreseeable future, cause catastrophic heating of the Earth's atmosphere and disruption of the Earth's climate. Moreover, there is substantial scientific evidence that increases in atmospheric carbon dioxide produce many beneficial effects upon the natural plant and animal environments of the Earth."

This petition has been signed by over 31,000 American scientists.

Seems to me that the jury is no longer out on the validity of "global warming." As millions of once committed believers of this monumental hoax are finally figuring out that all this has ever been was a lie manufactured by leftists as a means to their end which is nothing short of global socialist control, lawmakers on Capitol Hill have the nerve to hold debate on carbon emissions regulation. With George Soros' puppet in the White House gearing up for the climate summit at Copenhagen only six weeks away, the only thing we can do in the hopes that he will have nothing to offer them will be for us to flood the phone lines in Washington, demanding that the economic destruction of our country does not continue!
