Democracy supporters should not fear the Muslim Brotherhood

Like Egyptians from all walks of life, we in the Muslim Brotherhood are taking part in the popular uprising to depose a repressive dictator. The overwhelming majority of Egyptians demand the immediate ouster of Hosni Mubarak and his regime.

Once this basic demand is met, we seek to share in the debate sweeping the country and to be part of the resolution, which we hope will culminate in a democratic form of government. Egyptians want freedom from tyranny, a democratic process and an all-inclusive dialogue to determine our national goals and our future, free of foreign intervention.

We are mindful, however, as a nonviolent Islamic movement subjected to six decades of repression, that patent falsehoods, fear mongering and propaganda have been concocted against us in Mubarak's palaces the past 30 years and by some of his patrons in Washington. Lest partisan interests in the United States succeed in aborting Egypt's popular revolution, we are compelled to unequivocally deny any attempt to usurp the will of the people. Nor do we plan to surreptitiously dominate a post-Mubarak government. The Brotherhood has already decided not to field a candidate for president in any forthcoming elections. We want to set the record straight so that any Middle East policy decisions made in Washington are based on facts and not the shameful - and racist - agendas of Islamophobes.

Why are we still dependant on foreign oil?

With oil futures prepared to exceed $100 per barrel because of political upheaval in Egypt, why is it that the Obama administration and his bureaucrat brown-shirts in the EPA are continuing to stand on the necks of domestic oil producers here in the United States? Sharp rises in cost at the gas pump in an economy already gripped with inflation is a recipe for disaster. Seriously folks, WTF are we doing, still depending on foreign sources of oil? Why are we continuing to line the pockets of nations who are not friendly to us in order to buy THEIR resources? None of this makes any sense. If shit REALLY hits the fan in Egypt and the Suez Canal oil shipments are disrupted, how long will it be before the United States uses military intervention to correct that problem? I thought the leftists in this country (now in control of the federal government) were dead-set against spilling blood for oil.

Like it or not, in order to secure our country's economic future and pay off our MASSIVE debt, we need to have abundant, inexpensive energy to increase our GDP. At present, oil and coal are our most abundant natural resource for producing energy. Alternative energy sources are not able to meet that demand, sufficiently. Since global warming is proving to be nothing but a crock of shit, there are only two other reasons I can think of for developing alternative sources of energy: First, to improve air quality in urban areas, and secondly, because we are still unsure of how much oil and coal we'll have left. Alternative energy technology is making advancements, but not nearly fast enough for it to be cost effective. In the mean time, we NEED to have less restricted access to our own carbon based fuels to produce cheap energy. That would go a long way toward reducing inflation and boosting our economic output.

WASHINGTON—Iranian President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad said his government would accept a nuclear fuel-swap agreement overseen by the United Nations, a deal the Obama administration has viewed as central to limiting Tehran's ability to develop atomic weapons.

The Iranian leader's announcement on state television Tuesday, however, was immediately greeted with skepticism by Western diplomats, who have watched Tehran flip-flop on the fuel-swap issue since it was proposed in October.

Senior U.S. officials said Mr. Ahmadinejad hadn't conveyed an agreement to the U.N.'s nuclear watchdog, the International Atomic Energy Agency.

"The deal is still on the table," said State Department spokesman P.J. Crowley. "We don't exactly know what Ahmadinejad said, but if he's prepared to say yes, that's good news. He should contact the IAEA."

Many U.S. and European diplomats said Mr. Ahmadinejad's comments appeared designed to upend an accelerating international campaign to sanction Iran for its nuclear work. In recent days, the Obama administration has begun circulating to allied countries the names of Iranian entities—including its central bank and businesses controlled by its elite military unit, the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps—that Washington wants sanctioned under a new U.N. Security Council resolution, say officials who have seen the list.

"Iran has continued to try and divide the international community on sanctions," said a European diplomat working on Iran. "I don't see why this overture would be any different."

Navy SEALs have secretly captured one of the most wanted terrorists in Iraq — the alleged mastermind of the murder and mutilation of four Blackwater USA security guards in Fallujah in 2004. And three of the SEALs who captured him are now facing criminal charges, sources told FoxNews.com.

The three, all members of the Navy's elite commando unit, have refused non-judicial punishment — called an admiral's mast — and have requested a trial by court-martial.

Ahmed Hashim Abed, whom the military code-named "Objective Amber," told investigators he was punched by his captors — and he had the bloody lip to prove it.

Now, instead of being lauded for bringing to justice a high-value target, three of the SEAL commandos, all enlisted, face assault charges and have retained lawyers.

The signatures include our many families of the victims of September 11, 2001 as well as many from the FDNY, NYPD and PAPD and retired military. Hasan, the sole suspect in the massacre of 13 fellow US soldiers in Texas, attended the controversial Dar al-Hijrah mosque in Great Falls, Virginia, in 2001 at the same time as two of the September 11 terrorists, The Sunday Telegraph has learnt. His mother's funeral was held there in May that year.

The preacher at the time was Anwar al-Awlaki, an American-born Yemeni scholar who was banned from addressing a meeting in London by video link in August because he is accused of supporting attacks on British troops and backing terrorist organisations.

Hasan's eyes "lit up" when he mentioned his deep respect for al-Awlaki's teachings, according to a fellow Muslim officer at the Fort Hood base in Texas, the scene of Thursday's horrific shooting spree.

As investigators look at Hasan's motives and mindset, his attendance at the mosque could be an important piece of the jigsaw. Al-Awlaki moved to Dar al-Hijrah as imam in January, 2001, from the west coast, and three months later the September 11 hijackers Nawaf al-Hamzi and Hani Hanjour began attending his services. A third hijacker attended his services in California.

Hasan was praying at Dar al-Hijrah at about the same time, and the FBI will now want to investigate whether he met the two terrorists....

Man Attempts to Hijack Plane Using Plastic Knife

A Sudanese man armed with a disposable, plastic knife attempted to hijack an aircraft yesterday, the Associated Press reported.

The passenger, identified as 26-year-old Mohammed Hamad Nourain, was onboard an EgyptAir plane from Istanbul, Turkey to Cairo, Egypt. A Cairo police official told AP the hijacker used a passport with a fake name to board the flight.

After the plane left Turkish airspace, the man wielded the disposable knife from his meal tray and demanded the crew to redirect the plane.

Imad Sallam, head of the Civil Aviation Authority, told India's ZeeNews that the hijacker put a plastic knife up to an air hostess' neck and told her "take me to Jerusalem."

Egyptian Air Marshals who were sitting in the back of the plane reacted immediately. The officers overpowered and arrested the hijacker while the flight continued on its path...

For any of you who do not know who Ohio Congressman Dennis Kucinich is, rest assured, there isn't much in the way of positive comment that can be directed toward this treasonous little utopian crack-pot save the fact that his wife looks like a super model (...which makes one question her sanity as well). This ridiculous individual is so far to the left that he makes Hillary Clinton look like Ann Coulter.

His position on dealing with murderous dictators is much like that of how Neville Chamberlain dealt with Adolf Hitler in the 1930's. He honestly believes that by appeasing evil, he can persuade them to gather around his campfire, roast marshmallows and sing Kum Ba Yah 'til the cows come home.

Back in June, the House of Representatives voted on a resolution condemning Iranian President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad for his insane rhetoric against the State of Israel, urging the UN Security Council to charge him under genocide conventions. The non-binding resolution passed 411-2 and Dennis Kucinich was one of the two who voted against it. In expressing his opposition to the resolution, Kucinich insisted that an alternative translation by The New York Times and Middle East Media Research Institute be read into the congressional record which made Ahmadinejad's speech calling for the destruction of Israel sound like an invitation to a potato sack race.

Back in the summer of 2004, Kucinich, along with Jesse Jackson, Ed "commie" Asner, historian Howard Zinn and number of other hard-core leftists issued an open letter directed to Venezuelan Dictator Hugo Chavez, declaring their solidarity with him and denouncing the United States for interfering with Venezuela's "internal affairs." The letter also went on to glorify Chavez's leadership and recognize his socialist regime as a "model democracy."

Two months ago in the Middle East, Kucinich thought it would be a good idea to play diplomat in Syria - following the footsteps of Nancy Pelosi - in order to bash the Bush administration for the WOT and its "illegal occupation" of Iraq...

Kucinich "had a close sighting over my home in Graham, Washington, when I lived there," the actress, a close Kucinich friend, wrote. "Dennis found his encounter extremely moving. The smell of roses drew him out to my balcony where, when he looked up, he saw a gigantic triangular craft, silent, and observing him.

"It hovered, soundless, for 10 minutes or so, and sped away with a speed he couldn't comprehend. He said he felt a connection in his heart and heard directions in his mind."

Police Find Swastika Cut Into Acres Of N.J. Cornfield
Swastika In Same Area As Others Found 8 Years Ago

Back behind the towering corn is a message that can only be seen from the air.

It is one of the most infamous symbols of hate -- a swastika -- cut into acres of cornfields in Washington Township, Mercer County.

A New Jersey State Police helicopter on a routine maintenance mission made the discovery Friday.

The swastika was located off of Hankins Road, near where similar swastikas were found in July 1998 and June 1999.

No arrests were made in the previous cases.

Investigators found that the most recent swastika appeared to have been hand-cut and covered an area of several acres.

"This should be in the past, and we should have learned from our mistakes, and to bring up something that brings back such awful memories, I think, is disgusting," said Joe Pica, whose property is one of many that border the fields.

Monday, neighbors said they hope it was kids who didn't know any better.

(CBS) NEW YORK They were celebrating outside the governor's office Friday as Eliot Spitzer handed a landmark victory to a half-million illegal immigrants.

The state will no longer require proof of citizenship for driver's licenses.

"We're changing our policy with respect to getting more people out of shadows and into the system so people don't hide they're here," Spitzer said.

He said the current restrictions on non-citizens have filled the roads with unlicensed drivers five times more likely to get into accidents.

But the also called it a matter of justice.

"As long as I'm governor we won't pretend they don't exist, cut them off from society," Spitzer said.

Lawsuit: 'Operation Return to Sender' Violates Constitutional Protections

NEW YORK (AP) - Immigration authorities violated Hispanic families' civil rights by raiding their homes without court warrants, sometimes bursting in before dawn to look for people who didn't live there, according to a federal lawsuit.

The suit was filed Thursday on behalf of 15 people—including seven U.S. citizens—who say their suburban homes were raided earlier this year.

Arguing that the raids violate constitutional protections against unreasonable searches, the suit seeks unspecified damages and a halt on the home raids until Immigration and Customs Enforcement develops legal guidelines for them.

Mark Thorn, an ICE spokesman, said the agency does not comment on pending lawsuits.

According to the lawsuit, a program dubbed Operation Return to Sender dispatched armed federal agents to homes in search of illegal immigrants thought to have lingered after being ordered to leave the country. But the people sought often weren't there and couldn't "reasonably" have been expected to be, the lawsuit said.

"I had already suggested this the previous year. I am going to New York. Let us sit down together and hold discussions. But not behind closed doors. I have suggested that we discuss these global issues at the UN General Assembly to resolve them.

As witnessed by the UN's ineffectiveness against Saddam Hussein prior to us going over there and giving him the proper ass kicking he deserved, UN deliberation has become nothing more than a decoy for dictators to buy time. Meanwhile, every day that passes gives them more opportunity to prepare for the inevitable which ultimately will translate in more casualties for us. I can only pray that we don't make the same mistake we made in 2003 by giving our enemy such a dangerous advantage.

TEL AVIV – Washington's announcement of talks with Iraqi militants about a cease-fire arrangement is a "big victory" for the insurgency and demonstrates the U.S. now recognizes the legitimacy of so-called terror groups, Palestinian terrorist leaders told WND.

In a briefing with reporters earlier today, Lt. Gen. Raymond Odierno said U.S. commanders at all levels are being empowered to reach out for talks with militants, tribes, religious leaders and others, including insurgents and sectarian rivals.

"We are talking about cease-fires, and maybe signing some things that say they won't conduct operations against the government of Iraq or against coalition forces," Odierno told reporters in a video conference from Baghdad.

Reacting to Odierno's announcement, Muhammad Abdel-El, spokesman and a leader of the Popular Resistance Committees terror group, called truce talks with insurgents "a big victory for the resistance."

"Americans are recognizing the resistance, the same resistance that they before called terrorism; now they are dealing with them, and this is the recognition of Iraqi resistance and recognition by the Americans of their own loss in Iraq," said Abdel-El. ...

All a cease fire does is give the bad guys a chance to regroup and rearm for the next battle. The Israeli war against the terrorists in souther Lebanon last summer and the chaos in the Gaza Strip following the "land for peace" deal was proof positive of that obvious fact. Not to mention what happened in Fallujah, Iraq. The cease fire agreement with the insurgents after the first time we went in there to root them out didn't work and our forces had to go in there a second time, which translated into more casualties for our troops. Since the second invasion, military control has been backed off and today, “Mookie” al Sadr is back to his old tricks by whipping up American resistance and anti-democratization forces.

Olive branches don't work! The only way for peace to exist is for there to be total and complete victory over evil! There are NO other acceptable options!

(AP) CAIRO, Egypt — An American member of Al Qaeda warned President Bush on Tuesday to end U.S. involvement in all Muslim lands or face an attack worse than the Sept. 11 suicide assault, according to a new videotape.

Wearing a white robe and a turban, Adam Yehiye Gadahn, who also goes by the name Azzam al-Amriki, said Al Qaeda would not negotiate on its demands.

"Your failure to heed our demands ... means that you and your people will ... experience things which will make you forget all about the horrors of September 11th, Afghanistan and Iraq and Virginia Tech," he said in the seven-minute video. ...

That's right jihad boy, keep flappin' that yap of yours in front of that camera. You're day will come, if not in this world, definitely in the next.

How long must we wait???

Since the creation of the State of Israel, Islamofacists have been waging an evil and insidious campaign aimed at its absolute destruction. Spawned from the alliance of Hitler's Nazi regime and Wahabist Islam during WWII, every country neighboring the tiny State of Israel has fought to bring about her destruction through both political and proxy war. Although today's middle east reveals many new dynamics and shifting demographics, the same hatreds and bigotries exist with ever increasing determination to eliminate the only true democratic American ally in the region prior to the liberation of Iraq. For more than half a century, the United Nations has discriminated against no other country more than Israel and with the war on terror in full swing, her enemies have strengthened their resolve toward achieving their diabolical goal.

In a bold strategic move meant to assist the war on terror, the United States helped broker a deal in conjunction with the Israeli government to create a separate Palestinian state. It is my sincere opinion that this was done with not one, but two objectives in mind. First would be to gain favor from some of the countries surrounding Israel and second, to prove once and for all that the desire of those longing for a Palestinian state was not one of autonomy, but one of terrorist military strategy. As we have seen through independent news sources - no thanks to the biased main stream media - Palestine has become nothing more than a hotbed of terrorist activity, a military base for al Qaeda, and a channel for other hostile terrorist sponsoring nations to import weapons needed for waging war against Israel. To many who cannot see the forest through the trees, this so called "Land for Peace" deal has been deemed a complete failure and a further compromise of Israel's security. If the creation of an independent Palestinian state was for the reasons which I had previously mentioned, how long will we have to wait before the IDF is given the go-ahead to pull the plug on this overflowing cesspool of evil.

Not far away, American and coalition forces are having to deal with an insurgency bent on the destabilization of a newly formed democratic Iraq. What appears on the surface to be a never ending war is chiefly due to the involvement of the same countries responsible for fueling the unrest in Palestine and fermenting hostilities to the north along the Lebanon and Syrian borders, none of which would have been so easily noticed were it not for the vast numbers of militia and armaments flowing in from the countries of Iran and Syria. As the war in Iraq continues, more and more instances of casualties will appear in the headlines due to the direct involvement of al Qaeda in conjunction with these two terrorist sponsoring nations and with the likelihood that Iran will soon have a nuclear device, things will only get much, much worse.

Until the fuel is removed, this fire will never be extinguished. As our brave American warriors in Iraq and the IDF in Israel continue having fight the war against terrorism with their hands tied behind their backs, Iran and Syria will continue to fight their proxy war with impunity. For the sake of victory over this evil, firm action is needed now and cannot be put off any longer. How long must we have to wait?

Israel and the US must protect itself!

The nation of Israel is under threat of annihilation. If the Iranian Islamo-facists secure a nuclear warhead to the top of a long range missile, they will certainly use it to “wipe Israel off the map!” If the nation of Israel does not take the action necessary to eliminate this threat, they will surely suffer a horror which all men have feared for more than half a century. Consequently, if the nation of Israel does what needs to be done in order to secure its safety, the United Nations will undoubtedly try to condemn the Israelis and the United States will have no choice but to stand behind the tiny democratic nation in their preemptive action.

My prediction is that these events will not take place until after this week’s elections in Iraq. Ideally, we would be in a much better position to offer Israel our military support once we have built up the Iraqi forces sufficiently enough for us to regroup our own forces. Whatever the case, we need to prepare for the inevitable. The time is quickly approaching where we will need to deal with other evils of that region and deal with them severely we must.

The terrorists are anxious to get their hands on the ultimate doomsday weapon and if they are not stopped over there, they will bring their terrifying cargo over here. I have long anticipated a nuclear weapon being brought into New York Harbor or the Chesapeake, carefully concealed upon a cargo ship. Once within range, a simple rocket could propel a 20 kiloton nuclear device just high enough up in the air to detonate and cause maximum yield. If you think 9/11 was horrifying, just imagine what it will feel like to loose an entire city!
